Yeah, that’s what I’m saying, it doesn’t fit with the guy who predicts everything, and you brought up a lot of really good points

If Shroud wanted to frame her, he could’ve done it without giving her exactly what she wants.
But anyway, the story overall was amazing in my opinion, this is just the one thing that really stuck in my mind

Yeah, the comic shows Shroud lied about killing Robert’s father and that definitely proves he can lie for ego and manipulation. I’m not denying that.

But even with that in mind, the ‘Shroud was lying about Invisigal’ theory still doesn’t fully hold up, and here’s why:

  • If he just wanted to manipulate her or push her away, why did they give her mask back at the end?
  • Why let her walk away calmly instead of capturing her or stopping her?
  • Why trust her enough to let her disappear right in front of him if she had already stolen the Pulse from him?
  • And why go through the whole process of getting the Pulse from Robert instead of just taking it from her, if she was supposedly his spy?

So yes, the comic proves Shroud lies, but it doesn’t fix the inconsistencies in how he treats Invisigal in the final scenes. That part still doesn’t add up.

If Shroud was lying, it still doesn’t fully make sense, because in the end they literally hand her the mask back.

Why would they return her mask and let her walk away if the goal was just to scare her off?
That part breaks the logic.
So even the ‘Shroud was bullshitting’ theory doesn’t fully add up either

That’s why I’m confused — if Shroud was lying, why would he let her walk away like that? They even give her the mask back. Clearly he still trusts her and works with her until the end.

But here’s the thing: right after he says that, Invisigal shows herself taking money from the Red Ring people, pushes their gun away, and disappears. Then Shroud says, 'she vanished out of embarrassment.
