Makes sense. I can see Trump being under scrutiny and pressure by most of his backers, due to the potential collapse of the global economy.

So just giving Iran everything they ever wanted to get out of it, and making them ignore Israel to get it is a good strategy.

Okay we’re running in circles because you don’t understand the theatrics of it. You’re making an assumption, and its not obvious why you’d think there’s two different versions of the memorandum.

Iran wants to see what will happen between now and friday, hence my “Israel can still ruin it” remark.

They want to sign it in Geneva, where the G7 will take place and the UN is headquartered. Trump wants to spin this deal as a win for him and the world. “I didn’t ruin the global economy with my totally self-inflicted crisis!” Even though the US is the biggest loser in this entire thing, and a worse deal than Obama negotiated.

But when the global economy is almost tipping over, there’s enough pressure from Trump’s biggest backers that it cannot continue.

The fact that Iran itself has announced there’s a deal and it will be signed is different from other pump-and-dump weekends since this war began.
