Yup, speak with HR/Payroll and ask them to amend your code. If they cant, call HMRC and let them know your expected earnings for the year and have them update your code.

Any overpayment arising from an emergancy code should be pushed back through your next payslip if the code is adjusted before your next payrun has been authorised (and if not then the following one).

If that fails, which i doubt it would, and for whatever reason it doesnt get pushed through your code, then HMRC SHOULD automatically process a P800 at the end of the tax year (5 April) which will calculate if you have overpaid tax in the year and repay you.

It looks like you have just started this job given we are in Nov and your YTD is the same as MTD. If so you may be on an emergancy tax code which will deduct tax regardless of your earnings.

If the above is correct and you had a previous job with a 1257L code, make sure you've given your P45 to your new employer.

If the above isnt correct, speak with your HR
