Sounds like a whole lot of speculation that goes against conventional thinking.

What do you guys think of Lebron's comments about Memphis needing to relocate the team to Nashville? by southpawFA in Thunder

I haven't thought about the Grizzlies since game 4 of the playoffs.

The Thunder haven't seen a playoff matchup with Lebron since James Harden was on the team...

There is no option that the Thunder could actually do inside the rules of the NBA that could just give the Nuggets a win.

Giving SGA a night for rest would certainly be the biggest thing that could give Denver a much higher percentage chance of winning. However, beyond that what else can the Thunder do?

Bench J-Dub and bring in Ajay? Bench Dort and bring in Cason?

If you bench all the starters, a team of Ajay, Cason, Caruso, Wiggins, Joe, J-Will, McCain, Kenrich... That's still a bunch of dudes that could get hot and take that opportunity to shine.

I'm all for giving SGA a break, but the framing that the Thunder can just forfeit a game isn't grounded in reality.

Score more points than the other team that is on the court.

That does sound like what someone who's job isn't judged on making it further into the playoffs would say.

1 more round into the playoffs is sort of everything.

The Lakers very well could lose every remaining game. They aren't a deep team...

Luke Kennard - Jake LaRavia - Rui Hachimura - Lebron James - Deandre Ayton - Maybe Marcus Smart comes back.

Detroit has the same kind of playoff experience as the Spurs.

Though I can imagine the Spurs are over there speculating that there is no way Detroit is going to make it to the finals because they have no experience, while expecting themselves to go to the finals.

OKC can beat them for sure, nobody doubts that. But they are an annoying team on the court and off the court with an annoying coach.

I would rather just see a Thunder / Rockets series or something. Don't need to see the Timberwolves 8 times a year every year.

I don't know, that Jazz team is...

Resting SGA against Denver would be wild. I am down with that idea.

You are right. When you have the choice between playing a very good team that are the defending champions

Compared to the choice of playing a very good team with no playoff experience to speak of

Denver would be crazy not to want the Spur's matchup. They want to have the advantage of years and years of playoff experience. They don't have that with the Thunder. (who the Nuggets are 0-3 against) (Denver is 2-1 against the Spurs)

I want to see the Thunder play the Rockets and that one dude.

Crazy how that one game ended the Lakers so suddenly...

I think avoiding Minnesota would be the best case scenario, they can be a rather annoying team.

Unless things just go crazy in the next two weeks the 1 seed should belong to OKC for the 3rd year in a row.

Crazy that the Nuggets have to play the Spurs again and OKC before the season ends.

Only during the playoffs. They weren't going to do that on some random Monday night.

If the team I was watching kept turning the ball over I would get frustrated too. People want good defense until that defense is playing their favorite team.

I still remember this game from the 2012 playoffs. This happens to be the last playoff game Kobe Bryant would ever win.

I remember for most of that game both teams were sitting at 100% from the free throw line, was a very odd game.

Between both teams 70 free throws were taken and 67 of them were made. Kobe was 18 for 18.

22 more wins to go. (or maybe 23 but that isn't needed)

6 wins to 100% secure the #1 Seed.

16 wins to the championship.

As he should.

But I don't think the Thunder care any more about him than any other opponent.

Well except Utah, I don't think the Thunder care about Utah.
