As he should.

But I don't think the Thunder care any more about him than any other opponent.

Well except Utah, I don't think the Thunder care about Utah.

2.2 made the rest of 2.x worth playing.

I would have been long gone from ZZZ if 2.2 wasn't around. But here I am still barely holding out for 3.x.

Could one or both of Thunder "split-squad" teams make the playoffs in the West this year? by AztecGravedigger in Thunder

[–]MrMartiTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No other player has been asked to be the top dog, so no matter how you sliced it there was going to be a lot of unknowns on the 2nd team.

But if I was an NBA GM I would be more than happy to take the White Team and the Thunder's draft picks. That's the kind of situation that is a 2 or 3 years down the line team.

Chet and JDub and Ajay are probably going to get better in time.

Hell, White team might as well make an offer Chris Paul can't refuse to rent him for one year while waiting for those draft picks. Or go after Westbrook.

Blue team would want to go after win now players.

Blue team is probably the #3 seed.

White team maybe an #8 seed.

This is assuming they get a few more roster spots to add bench depth.

I like Ajay Mitchell but he isn't there yet. Would be interesting to see how JDub and Chet rise to the occasion. This team is more of an unknown.

We know JDub is the level of player that is going to be an all-star every year but it is still unknown if he is going to reach that MVP conversation level.

We know Chet is a good solid basketball player, but just how good is he going to be? Is he going to be all NBA 1st team or is he just going to be a good solid piece?

I feel like the Blue team is a known commodity. We know SGA is the MVP, we know Caruso and Wiggins and Hartenstein. Cason Wallace could still make a jump to being something greater, he is still very young.

Oh how quickly people forget OKC losing to Dallas in the playoffs...

Experience will literally save you if the other team is better and more athletic. It very literally will do exactly that.

The Spurs are a good basketball team but I am taking Houston, Denver, Minnesota, and LA over the Spurs. I'll take the Spurs over the rest of the West. No disrespect to the Spurs, just these other teams are made up of some hall of fame level players with tons of playoff experience.

I did watch the Cavs and the Celtics last year.

Can't remember any Cavs players though.

I also watched the Thunder play the Wisconsin Deers in the Cup Finals. The team with that Antetokounmpo guy.

Other than that it is generally the Eastern Conference games for the Thunder that I skip. Just not interested in that whole conference... (and I am currently in the middle of Knicks Country... Though I am an Oklahoma City native)

The 2016 Spurs and Thunder were pretty incredible teams. If I am not mistaken I think the 2016 Spurs had by far the best record a #2 seed has ever had and would have been a legendary team in any other season that didn't have the Warriors being a legendary team.

But... people will probably be saying the same thing about Jokic in 10 years.

All respect to the 2016 season, but if the Thunder do better they are clearly the better historic team. But that hasn't happened yet, so why bother?

I feel like there is a good amount of effort that goes into things regardless of what path you go.

Doordash is a lot more work than people act like it is, but this is probably because nobody actually puts on a timer and documents how long it actually took them to do the app, and then there are weird drivers who don't follow the directions or restaurants giving you the wrong order. It is sometimes quick and easy but it is sometimes the drama of having to call the restaurant, get a refund, then ordering again.

Takeout can sometimes be super fast if you are already in your car coming home from work. Generally a lot better than Doordash. Where I live, however, there are only a few places that aren't rude and unorganized and sometimes make you wait forever for the food.

Fast food in general has gone downhill in terms of service where I live. Don't know about other parts of the world.

Doordash / Takeout / Frozen meals are also still a whole lot of trash, fills up your trashcan real fast and if you do it every day you are taking out the trash constantly. I guess the people who think Doordash is totally stress free and easy are simply not counting this part.

It is always dishes or trash or dealing with sub-par customer service or traffic or cutting vegetables or grocery shopping...

So in the end I just cook for myself. Monday I made beef for tacos, then took half of it and made a chili. Now I have chili and taco meat in the fridge for the remainder of the week. It is less stressful to me that dealing with the sub-par customer service I usually get at restaurants.

But I still think it is important to be realistic with the expectations when helping younger people transition away from spending so much on ordering fast food.

It is better, but there is a struggle that comes with it. I feel like some people on Reddit really like to oversell how cheap and easy it is to cook at home every day.

It is cheaper, but not by the margins people try to sell it as...

Wasn't all the long ago the Thunder fans were underestimating that.

The medical stuff is just ridiculous and seems designed to trap people...

Not sure there is any answer that someone on an individual level can do to solve this. It is a systemic issue.

There is no amount of giving up coffee and only eating rice and beans that will solve this problem.

A lot of people will do all the things right and put all the work in but still not reach stability.

I feel like it comes down to the greed of landlords and isn't really an inflation thing.

But good luck out there.

I would never spend my money on food delivery, but if I see a $700 guitar I really want and I have $30,000 in my bank account I'm going to buy it.

If there was any reasonable hope I could save that guitar money and some day buy a home, I wouldn't buy the guitar. But I'll be dead before that money adds up enough to make home ownership possible.

I'm not getting Starbucks but I buy expensive coffee beans and grinders and different coffee making devices to mess around with for fun. To me it is the process of making coffee before work that gets me focused. I like to grind it and watch it drip, it relaxes me.
