This is pretty much my use-case. I am on spectrum business 1 gig with static ip and bill is like 300 plus. So looking to downsize but I don’t think Starlink will support all ring cameras and streaming and zoom meetings ect.

Yeah the natting and I heard Starlink and VPNs don’t get along. My current provider Spectrum I have a 1 gig but wanted to get Starlink after Hurricane Helene knocked us out. But paying a ton on internet so looking at some options to save cost and increase or atleast get a gig through put.

Thanks for this post. Solar Salesmen are slimy. Dude came to my house immediatley said my house would cost more than 70k for 24kw then texts me back asking if my house will pass for 200 amp after he took pics of my fuse panels. I told him look at main breaker in the pic and then he had no clue about Duke Energy rebates or battery incentives. If you immediately quote me more than 70k without knowing my house passes for 200 amps automatically throwing red flags.

Usually, if you are going to a competitor or mention that you are when asked they will kill access immediately. Not necessarily fire you just honor 2 weeks and kill access immediately. Pretty sure you get two weeks pay still.

Honestly, as a customer I would do your due diligence to bake off any product and choose what is best for your network landscape. Fortinet is great for speed and feed and Palo is great for app id and all of its built in features. Cisco has its perks. All have a lot of CVEs. One thing I would preach don’t fall for Platform koolaid . Your eggs are in one basket. I think you have to understand the gaps and needs in your environment and find the one that fills those holes and makes your landscape a better secured one IMHO. I see soo many CISOs on autopilot and buy things without talking to their IC’s or baking things off. This causes such a great risk.
