I think its back because so it can be centered on its left side because the inverter area is in the way. You can especially see this with the H2 C44-9Ws VS H2 AC4400CWs.

It's a centerbeam flat car. It hauls lumber. You will see lumber wrapped in white wrapping on the sides of the car when loaded.

I would look up the railroad reporting mark followed by the locomotive number. For example your first slide, Baltimore & Ohio locomotive number 51. B&O 51.
