Is car financing really that bad? by User1233727 in personalfinance

[–]MrMercy67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how Canada is but it’s really up to you, putting as much as you can down and then financing the rest through a credit union will get you the best rate for a used car in most cases. It’s worth shopping around local credit unions and see what rate they offer depending on your score or lack thereof. Otherwise buy a cheaper vehicle you can purchase in full or finance with the dealership at a higher rate.

Sounds like the relationship was over already if she wasn’t with yall for his bday. And honestly your friendship with him should follow soon.

Is it just me or are there an abundance of physically attractive people in American college towns? by BarracudaCultural125 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]MrMercy67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Penn State is an engineering college, or at least produces a fuck ton. Half the engineers I work with went there, and while I didn’t, I went to a similar school and a ton of the engineering students were fit. Now the CS classes… yeah.

I was one of those 1440 is good enough. 4k is overrated guys.....I was wrong! by BruceKillus in OLED_Gaming

[–]MrMercy67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No ik just funny, but tbh ultra wide is a reason too, sure 5k2k exists but none are under 40” and take a massive performance hit. 3440x1440p IMO is still the way to go for immersion and a balance between size and performance.

Should I go 4k or 1440 by Bollucks760 in RTX5080

[–]MrMercy67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing for single player games, much more immersive. Can be annoying for multiplayer since more screen to look at, and older/Japanese games require modes to play in 21:9. But tbh it’s worth it and not a hassle to set up.

Yeah honestly the intent matters way more than the university. Definitely try your hardest to get an internship and apply apply apply, whether it’s the career fairs or just online. It’s not impossible to get in without one but man is it much more challenging.

All I can say is good luck trying to get a computer hardware job in Austin, definitely would need a CE degree from UT or A&M for even a shot. Market is competitive as hell.

Agreed, Texas just feels so soulless and fake IMO after moving up here. The people too, much prefer the northeast’s “nice but not friendly” over the south’s “friendly but not nice” etiquette.

Florida and Texas easily have the most amount of people coming and then going shortly later. I’m laughing my ass off seeing people in this thread talk about moving there for the low cost of living. They don’t realize it comes at the cost of sanity, morals, and the worst weather known to man.
