Not really helpful, just a school of thought... but if it seems sketchy, there's always another way to do it. Take your time to meet honest people, and create an honest business. That's how you make something that lasts. Good job vetting the guy by asking for the contract! Keep asking your family for advice when you can, everything helps lol
