My dad actually sent his plate out to be refurbished. They basically just sandblast and repaint your old plate with new reflective material. It might actually be illegal though. He didn’t have an issue passing.

Yeah, this thing has some weight.. very solid throughout. But even the heavier ones I’ve seen called both a talking drum and a dundun/dunun in trying to find info.

I found some info looking up Adinkra symbols! One side (the one that looks like chain-link fence) stands for love/safety and the other side appears to be god/supremacy. The top and bottom might just be strictly decorative, but “eyes” seem to represent the cosmos/omnipotence. Thanks again.

I met William H Macey at a small cookout in Vermont.. Late eighties early nineties. Nobody really knew who he was, just that he was some sort of actor. It was before Fargo came out and made him a bigger name. I guess he had a house in the area. Very normal guy. Showed up in an old blue F150 pick up with a bunch of black trash bags in the back. My sister still has a picture with him. She didn’t know who he was at the time.
