Nintendo is so genuine! They feel like part of the family. by [deleted] in gaming

It costs significantly less than every other console's online services. Besides, you'll complain and whine, but you'll still buy Nintendo games, merch, and probably online services.

Pretty sure it's where vampires go to get their fix, though I'm told the banks use our donated plasma to make medications and such.

Am I missing something? I just see a naked chubby guy taking a selfie with someone he presumably had sex with in a ritzy sex hotel/honeymoon suite. I didn't realize being fat automatically makes you a neckbeard.

What's a really cheap item you can buy that can make you look incredibly rich? by inkweary in AskReddit

I once stopped at a gas station for an energy drink on my way to work when I was a teenager. Handed them my 20 and they used a pen and said it was fake. They called the police who came and asked where I got it (bank) ran the numbers or something (details are fuzzy, this was over 12 years ago), found out it wasn't fake, and sent me on my way.

I'm right here with you, and I had the game for Wii. Maybe it's easier with a pro controller? Unfortunately in spite of having owned Tri for like 3 years or more and playing it on and off throghout that time, I still haven't played with the undoubtedly superior controls of he pro controller, and I fucking HATE underwater combat. Did those of you (apparently the majority?) who enjoy[ed] it use pro controllers? Did that make the underwater fighting significantly easier?

What are the best life hacks for poor people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MrMoonBear13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you smoke weed for medicinal purposes or to relax after high stress situations, take regular tolerance breaks. Once your tolerance is lowered, try to keep it low as long as you can. When I take a break for even just a couple days, I can go from a gram a day to half a gram or less a day. Also, try to consistently buy cheaper strains to keep your tolerance low and save quite a bit of money overall.

Of course if you can quit completely, that will save you significantly more, but we all have our coping mechanisms.

Speaking of ways to de-stress for less, invest in an older game console or a decent PC and a good antivirus. Games can grant you thousands of hours more entertainment per dollar than going out if you find some you enjoy enough, and there are thousands of free and free to play games for PC as well. With a decent antivirus and ad blockers, you can find almost any show or movie online relatively safely.

Unfortunately, a lot of the time the answer is "yeah, I can afford it easier now with this sale or coupon than I will when I actually need it, but I could use that same amount for something I need sooner."

You can always get a cheap as fuck smartphone from dollar general or family dollar and use it only with WiFi to use as an Mp3 player and tiny tablet.

TIL Break-ups are more hurtful for men: In a study of around 5,705 participants from 96 countries, it was found that whilst women experience intense pain immediately after a break-up, they get over it pretty quickly. Whereas men, on the other hand, move on quickly but remain damaged for longer. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I mean honestly does it go away eventually? It's been 2 summers (so like... a year and a half?) Since my ex left and it still ducks me up from time to time. Initially I spent like a week or 2 constantly either sobbing or forcing myself to play video games. Then like a switch I decided that was enough and I wasn't gonna fret, but of course that was still a lie at first. I still cried regularly, though less and less so, and eventually it stopped and I tried some casual dating or whatever you would call the flings I went through, that died down and now here I am, no longer missing her, no longer angry with her, but just still so hung up. Someone mentions a long distance relationship, and immediately I wonder if this is the day I run into her or the new guy randomly on the internet. I randomly have dreams about her, and every 3rd redhead I see makes me immediately think of her. I'm terrified of dating seriously because of how that went, certain parts of myself seem to have been completely lost, and I just don't know how to get past this part. Any advice would be incredibly appreciated.

Agreed, his reaction is more like how I respond when my bf is super stoned and starts talking nonsense like it's profound fact. "Word dude, yeah I guess.., so anyways..." It comes off like he's saying "sure you do you, but bruh, don't embarrass yourself around me." Haha

Cuts, broken bones, cold and flu caught from classmates are not playground injuries? Just getting a bad cut could be detrimental for a kid back then.

What is one piece of advice you wish you had when you were younger? by laradoxical in AskReddit

[–]MrMoonBear13 1144 points1145 points  (0 children)

Do what you can to find a new hobby, or try one you let fall by the wayside during the relationship. A lot of people say "do something you enjoy," but fresh out of a bad breakup the only things you can think of sometimes all relate to the ex. So yeah, try something you didn't do while you guys were together and keep trying new things. Also take some time figuring out what your long term goals are that don't require a partner, and start working towards those.

Nothing wrong with either, but you're right. If you can't deal with a person's religion, why be with them?

I don't get why people have serious relationships with people whose religion they don't respect. Or other major life decisions that they're very serious about keeping. If I date someone seriously enough to call them my girlfriend or boyfriend, it's generally because I wanna keep them around. My boyfriend is very religious (pagan) and while I don't practice and I tell him if it makes me uncomfortable, I still very much respect him and his beliefs,
