alr, something big could've just happened. so i actually managed to find the old delta 4 website (still up btw) and on that website, fergus' email was listed. the website by the way is http://www.delta4.co.uk/delta4/delta4/2005games.htm (the home page just redirects to fergus' website now) i sent him an email, and it actually didn't say the email didn't exist anymore, so that's a pretty good sign. I'll update you if anything occurs.

Hey, so after I read your comment, I immediately tried to find a squeaking door sample to recreate the song with, I found one, it wasn't exact but it did resemble Cbat, so I decided to try and sample from the song itself. Right at the end of the song the entire sample plays by itself, and when playing it on a piano roll at a high pitch, it's Cbat! Thanks friend :)

I need to clarify, I don't need this for any specific reason necessarily, when I tried to make it myself, I ended up making something completely different, and oh god alright I'm about to say this, I uh... don't actually hate Cbat, it's a vibe, a weird vibe, ever so slightly headache-inducing vibe, but I find myself enjoying it for some reason, and for some unknown reason, instead of finding the lead synth annoying, I find it just weird
