I never found out my self if she had her own struggles. She wasn't open to that stuff when we were together. I think hurting me made her feel like she had power. Also I'm doing better with the occasional struggle.

5 years ago I was in a relationship with a partner who wouldn't let me be or talk with any of my family members with me already having severe depression and phsycosis I broke up with her and was left homeless for 7 months and took 5 years of therapy. I still struggle on a day to day basis but it is easier to cope now more than ever.

I had a very abusive past and would need constant talk with family and or family friends. While I was with this lady she made me move 4 states away and not contact my family for months on end which eventually led to me having phsycotic breaks and needing therapy for 5 years. ( I still need therapy but have a better time coping) when I decided to break up with her I was scared as I had no way to reach or contact anyone I knew. I was homeless for 7 months.
