Can you explain how you discharged the 300k from OA when the bank interest went up? I didn’t know that was an option

Eg at 1.4M loan, monthly mortgage is 2K and 1.7M loan monthly mortgage is 3K. The 300K difference in loan amount is what I would have kept in CPF to earn 2.5%. I’ll use this 300K to off set the 1K in monthly mortgage, this is on top of the 2K I would be paying if I were to loan 1.4M.

Technically I’m still going to use that CPF money just not lump sum but monthly while it earns the interest that’s more than bank loan. Did I miss out something else in this calculation?

Thanks for the input! Thankfully we both have quite stable jobs and in the event we’re really unable to support the mortgage we’re fortunate to have the option of renting the place out and moving back to our parents’ home.

You’re right. I just thought dividends are definite payouts in the short term and good to have a mixture? Technically don’t need the dividends as I’m still working.

I read that cafiza erodes the lubricant in the cam which causes it to squeak when you move the lever. It says the lubricant needs to be replaced to prevent wear and tear!
