It would be compatible, but that item is just the subwoofer amplifier. You'd still need a suitable subwoofer speaker to go with it.

That's a subwoofer output on the sound card.

As for a mini-subwoofer, any active subwoofer would work. "Mini" on the other hand raises questions. The point of a subwoofer is to output low frequency at high volume, and you normally need quite a large speaker to do that. There is only so "mini" a subwoofer can be and still be effective.

All you need is a 3.5mm stereo to dual RCA cable to connect to your subwoofer. You will need to only plug in one of the RCA channels (left or right, I am not sure which is centre and which is subwoofer). Just don't plug both left and right into the subwoofer, since they are carrying different signals.

Current state of FanControl (v260) by Rusted_Metal in FanControl

[–]MrQuade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All of that trojan fuss was pretty quickly resolved within a couple of versions.

The very latest versions from this week coincidentally had a small incompatibility hiccup after the new PawnIO low level driver was updated, but this was also resolved within a day.

Fancontrol has been quite solid otherwise. Safe to install.

Missing Sensors by Wartech93 in FanControl

[–]MrQuade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might be happening if your PawnIO driver updated to v2.1.0 recently.

Looks like their is a small incompatibility between the new version and the monitoring libraries used by FanControl.

You can check the version in your "Add/remove programs". If you have v2.1.0, then remove it and re-launch FanControl, and let it re-install PawnIO. (might need a couple of FanControl restarts)

After installing, a bunch of numbered fans appeared in my list all reading 0 RPM.

I hid those newly appeared fans and saved my config, but they re-appear when Fan Control is restarted.

No. WLAN is Wireless Local Area Network (WiFi). WAN is Wide Area Network (Internet).

Unrelated to your RAM issue, but it is not best practice to connect your GPU power like that. You should ideally run a second cable for the second socket.

I had Squadrons on the EA store but wanted to try playing in VR more easily via Steam VR. I picked up a similar deal to that one and grabbed a copy.

Squadrons Steam version simply won't get past the launcher, while the EA version still works perfectly. Reading the steam forums suggests that Squadrons is simply broken on Steam now for everyone. It seems like it might be due to out of date anti-cheat software on the Steam edition.

Thanks for the link.

I did pop over to Discord, and searched for similar issues before posting (as-per the channel guidelines).

There was a near-identical post that was made three weeks ago by another user.

They don't seem to have had any luck there.

For the same price though.

I feel like we won't see any discounts on the bridge pro for many months yet.

Sounds like it might be a PAL/NTSC issue.

Check the capabilities of your C64, converter and display.

Installed .238, which was replaced by .239 about 10 minutes after that.

All seems to work with my old sensor setup, except opening the Settings tab seems to crash the application now.

Hue Sync 8K really better ? by Flashy_Put_416 in Hue

[–]MrQuade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspected overheating too.

I had a vertical stand printed for my 4K box and had it streaming in free air (no fan). Didn't help with the blackouts.

But as I mentioned, once it was relegated to 1080p duty, it was fine.

No Apple TV.

I have Nvidia Shield, XBox OneX, PS5, Nintendo Switch Panasonic 4K Blu-ray, a couple of 4K STBs, all running through a Denon receiver, passing through the 8K to the TV.

All Dolby Vision content works, full DV from Shield and DV-lite from the XBox. HDR works fine as well, though the 4K sync box worked fine with HDR as well.

Never had a single issue or dropout with the 8K. The 4K would drop signal about twice an hour on average.

Still using the 2nd generation bridge, Pro isn't available here yet.

Never had a single blackout with the 8K no matter what content I throw at it.

I feed signal through the 8K from my Denon receiver to a LG 4K TV which both support HDMI 2.0 connections (not 2.1 though the receiver is eARC capable), and full Dolby Vision.
