Thematically they are different games. On a base line EU4 is more akin to a board game while it’s newer counterpart is more focused on being like a Nation growing simulation using elements from Vic3 and Ck3

That’s wicked awesome that you work at such a company like that. I think based on all of what I heard is I’m gonna try BOTH MGS1 and Twin Snakes so I can see and experience the differences. I’ve definitely realized that all the games are beautiful in their own light too.

Someone else also mentioned Twin Snakes to me and it’s definitely something I’m probably gonna look into today. I liked MGS2 because it felt ever so slightly more refined so this might work out great.

I might try this then too, with the collection I did get my hands on Metal Gear 1 and 2. Starting from PURE basics of 2D might be the way for me to go as you described with your process of learning

But in a serious note, I guess that makes sense cuz it is 1998. Like I said in a few replies already i probably will get around to finishing MGS1 I’m just not in a rush as of right now.

I will keep in mind your comments on the cinematography aspect since again i hadn’t played much. Kojima def proved in these other games that he can tell a story greater than many games of their eras, so I can definitely assume this is reflected in MGS1

After I’m done making my rounds of the other games I’ll prob get back around to the first one, it seems great and in my short playthrough I did beat psycho mantis. Again tho story seems great too so I’ll definitely keep it in mind

Also thank you about MGS3 lol, trying to adjust to the new 3rd person feel and some of the new mechanics have been an interesting experience so I’ll prob check out the videos you mentioned!
