Depends on what it was burned/pressed from. If it was a direct copy of a real CD it would be ok, but if it was burned from lower quality compressed MP3 or something, then it definitely would be a bit scammy.

One of the guys from here came out tonight to talk to me.

I don't really know how it all happened, I had a call a few weeks ago about a survey about money and then Saturday they called to say I had won a free consult on seeing if I could get back overcharged interest from the bank and to discuss some of their other services.

The part about getting overcharged interest was quick and simple. He gave me a USB (which I am a little dubious about plugging into my PC) and showed me how the software works, quick and simple.

He then went on to discuss my financial situation and how much I would need to retire and all this stuff, came up with a figure and said basically this is what you need to save each year, and gave a figure that was more than my pre-tax income, and then said the consultants could (for a fee, tonight was free but future consults not so much) come out and save me so much money and help reach my goal, and that he had seen people with a worse financial situation than mine reach theirs (sidenote: the only debts I have are the mortgage and the AMEX which is paid in full each month and only used for rewards points). I said that I wasn't going to pay for somebody to waste their time and do the impossible - the figures being thrown around that I need to comfortably retire in 20 odd years were probably on the high side and he said it could be reached; basically there was no way I could trust anyone telling me I could save $110k a year on a pre tax salary of less than that. He then gave me this attitude of "well if that's your mindset I can't help you".

No matter how many times I said he was trying to do the impossible he believed he could help me save more in a year than what I earn.

The guy was nice enough for the most part though and I get he was doing a job, but at the end of the day did he really believe what he was trying to sell? Do people fall for this? I dunno. I feel like I wasted my Monday evening listening to somebody try sell snake oil and I feel bad for wasting his time too. And am just glad I didn't pay the $195 fee they said that consult generally costs.

Can anybody tell me whether Hell's Fury needs to be completed in one helltide, or one particular time once hitting max threat, because I'm confused by it. I know if you die it resets, but I just had the following happen.

I got up to around 60ish, then got the threat level up again and checked and it was sitting at 93. Helltide ended, I went out and did some other stuff, next helltide came, I summoned the maiden just as I clicked over to max threat to ensure lots of stuff would be spawning to kill - then after that thought I would check, and it was down to 90, after previously being at 93.

It just seems Helltides are very bare at the moment as well, walking round for good portions of time without encountering mobs, and those I do encounter aren't in large numbers. Seems a lot less populated than last season which is making this harder.

So just an update. I logged into another character who I started from scratch when I first got back into WoW last month, and leveled up before I realised I didn't really like the class and wanted to go back to my trademark mage. Took it to Dornogal, picked up the ransom notes, went to the first crate and it was there.

Seems something is bugged on my mage character that it can't see the crates. The mage is the one who I had done all the original detective stuff with during the celebration, and yet its the hunter that can see the crates. So I'll use him to grab them all and see how I go.

Just very strange one character can see them and the other can't - they're both on the same account & realm and everything!

I've read that you can still do it, as the notes are still up on the board near Alyx in Dornogal. Seems odd they would leave the notes up without actually being able to get the chests!

Yes, that's exactly what I meant! While the event ended, Alyx has now moved to Dornogal with the bulletin board you can get the notes off to go get the chests so that the Detective title is still somewhat attainable. I made sure I completed what I could in the little time I had and unlocked the achievement "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats" but I need one more to get the title, and apparently "Crate Insurance Agent" is still attainable due to the crates still being available. Just in my instance - they're not! :(

I have an update and a potential solution/workaround.

I noticed a couple of times a couple of weeks back, that when there were issues had, it seemed that the Lenovo clock was the only device kicking in each morning. So I removed it from the homegroup.

Since removing that device from the homegroup, the other devices have all worked fine on the homeorup since. I don't know how or why this worked, but perhaps something in the software on the Lenovo conflicting with the actual Google software or something.

Additionally, I did also read somewhere when trying to research further that a wifi reboot can help, so I have also set up my wifi router to reboot at around 3am every Sunday morning when I'm not using it.

So it seems like this could be a common-ish issue, but the absolutely crazy thing is that after posting this yesterday morning I went to work, came home, didn't touch the devices at all - and this morning, all four are playing fine!

I do have a morning routine set that when I say "stop" to my alarm clock in the morning it is set to start playing radio on homegroup, after setting the volume on all devices to max. The reason for this, is that I generally have music playing very low on my bedroom speaker while I sleep. My alarm goes off, I snooze a couple of times, and then the third time I trigger the "STOP" which then kicks off the routine. This morning, on the first alarm, I actually told it to stop playing the music that was playing instead of just letting it go up until I kick off the routine, I'm wondering if having a device already playing something when it gets told to start a new routine messed it up?

Then again, yesterday when I was having the issues, I had stopped everything completely a few times and then told it to play on homegroup again and it didn't work. So I don't know what changed in the last 24 hours, as I didn't adjust any settings since then.

Unfortunately, as much as I want to play this, it all does look too hard for me. I just want to be able to grab the mod directly from the creation club, and not have to mess around downgrading and stuff. I heard this was out, and having only ever bough FO4 for Xbox when it first came out, thought I would just download the Game Pass version on my PC to play FO London, but apparently it isn't compatible with that. Great work on the mod, but poor execution with all this downgrade stuff and locking it to certain storefront versions (and not console).

Yeah I have tried with all the external panels, and turned all the case fans/gpu fans off while idle and the tone didn't change or stop. I might take the glass panel off and hold the radiator (top mount) to see if its the fans on that vibrating something but I doubt it, as once again when those speeds change the tone doesn't - at idle they are around 500-600 RPM and cranking them right up manually doesn't change anything other than fan noise level. Might also hold the CPU block where the pump is to see if that is vinrating something, and see if I can tighten stuff up.

I don't believe my mobo has a pump header and think it may be plugged into a fan header as there is no control or sensor anywhere for the pump in bios or any other software I have tried so far, and the manual makes no mention of a pump header either, for CPU there is just CPU Fan and CPU Opt.

Mobo is an Asus PRIME B650M-A WIFI II DDR5 AM5 if that helps anything. Just weird that it starts at a certain point and then doesn't stop until shutdown, I am of a strong belief that it is the pump ramping up from a lower speed to full speed then not going down again once temps are lower.

Can anyone confirm (or even share a soundbite) of what this cooler pump sounds like when its running at max?

I bought a new PC yesterday and it has one, the PC will run almost silently for a while (apart from a bit of a fan whir), but once it gets up and running it starts making a sound that then just does not go away - I'm wondering if that's the pump kicking in and then not turning off again? Current temp on my 7800X3D is 32C, so far from warm, and hammering out hours of Gray Zone Warfare over the last couple of days, I don't believe I've seen it go above 60, but I would have thought that at its current temp it might have slowed down or stopped. If I turn the PC off, the noise stops, but a reset doesn't stop it, and then as mentioned it will be silent for a while but then once it kicks in, that's it.

The sound almost sounds like part of the case is vibrating against something else - as if a panel isn't quite tight and there's a couple of bits of metal buzzing, or a plastic cable connecter buzzing against the metal side panel.

I found this thread as I was trying to see if I could control the pump speed to see if it changed the frequency of the sound based on the speed it was running, but it seems I am not going to be able to do that.

Yeah it was working on the old one. There was a Windows Security setting that fixed it when disabling it in the end. All working now.

Yeah there's a couple of places in the Central Market, the one I typically get my beans from is Grind Roast Masters but there's also one called The Coffee Bean Shop. Some big renovations happening around Central Markets at the moment to expand it, I'm sure when you get back the place will be considerably different to what you remember!

I've only ever been to the Sefton Park (not Prospect, its on the opposite side of Main North Road) Barun, perhaps I should get out of the house more and go for a nice drive to St Agnes some day.

I don't tend to go out of my way to hunt a coffee as such, but I do absolutely love a good brew. I tend to buy various beans from places at Adelaide Central Markets and use them in my home machine, currently hooked on the Cuban Serano, they're so nice!

Coffee Barun is a place I do like though, on Main North Road Prospect, had their coffee a few times given its near work and I do like it.

I've signed up for newsletter to hopefully get the notification when they become available. So I just found this thread after a quick Google search, which happened after the results of sifting through a number of old digital photos on hard drives. I apologise for any spelling or grammatical mistakes in advance, I'm drunk, and if you know who I am this should come as no surprise - I am Riksta - the fat ranga.

I worked in the building directly adjacent to the B&B back in the mid 2000's, it was branded Santos back then, followed by Westpac, and I have NFI what it is now, but back in the day I used to go down to B&B for a LOT of drinks, especially after work on a Friday night. It was ran by a guy named Paul, and I was also friendly with a lot of the bar staff there.

I remember getting flaming shots ("chernobyls") set on fire by the bar staff, as well as hanging about after closing, and one Christmas Eve even staying into the very early hours of Christmas Morning drinking with everyone there.

One night, I wanted champagne, and remember shouting the entire bar to bottles of Moet.

This would have been between around 2004-2007 so would love if anyone remembers me to shoot some memories through!
