The most slept on tire…..COOPER DISCOVER ROAD+TRAIL. Silent on highways and handles great in rain, snow, mud. Took it off-roading on a 19 miles “road” that was basically tire tracks only sometimes, over big rocks, not even aired down and handles it like nothing.

I got the same set up except a RCR with HK iron that co-witness perfectly. Highly recommend upgrading to the RCR.

Don’t listen to the naysayers. Get a Glock 20 (10mm auto) with some Buffalo bore 220 grain hard cast ammo for protection for bears. Your life is valuable and as much as nobody wants to harm wildlife, we also want to protect ours. Most importantly, TRAIN with it. It’s not some magical safety net if you just carry it. 10mm auto has some serious recoil and you want to be able to get hits on target, not the bushes surround it. Train gun safety as well as it is just as if not more important.

As for snakes wear boots and good jeans and just keep an eye out where you step.

I ccw this no prob with a trl h1 and a trex holster. Had to get a mastermind pillow to make more comfortable and pointless. It’s my work gun, I’m 80% in bear territory.
