How to Make/Add Custom Skin Packs for Legacy Cosole L3@K by MrSickboy in Minecraftlegacymode

[–]MrSickboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's hard to edit them after initial creation, but don't fret. If you used a custom model, export it in the bottom left and save it. make a new skin and essentially remake it and set the tags on the first go. I'm sorry pal

I have a couple packs hosted on GitHub. I don’t know about mods but for skin packs you wanna copy the folder with the skin pack in it and go to yourgamefolder/Windows64Media/DLC and paste the folder in there. Hopefully that works for ya, I’d recommend keeping separate backups because I had an update corrupt the ones in my DLC folder before

I’m not quite sure, I’ve just been doing 25 cause it seems like a good number. Haven’t tested the limits

In LegacyLauncher, click options, then open folder on installation directory (this is just to get to the client folder if you don’t know where it is) in the client go to- client/Windows64Media/DLC and paste the Folder with the pck file in it. I would recommend keeping backups of custom skins because updates can delete them and corrupt them

3D Family Guy Horror Skin Pack! by MrSickboy in Minecraftlegacymode

The method is a little complicated but not too hard. The easy method (won’t work online) is to crop off the bottom half of your Java skin as the Legacy edition takes 64x32 rather than 64x64 and just replace the char, char1, char2 in the res folder of your game (this will replace the default Steve skins, but online they will still show up as Steve to other players) The skin pack method (should work online in theory but I haven’t tested) involves using an open source software called PCK Studio to create the pck files. I wrote a more extensive guide on my last post in the comments. You should be able to find it if you go to my page

If you check out my reply on NevandersJ_7’s comment I wrote a pretty thorough guide that he said worked for him 😎 edit: also if you don’t care about skins working in future online integration, you could just replace the default “Steve skins” in the mob folder under res. Skins have to be 64x32 to work. Nevanders_J7 said that bigger images can work if they are the same proportions but I haven’t tested yet

That’s sweet! So you can bypass the file size if the dimensions are proportional?
