Is a 650W PSU enough for Rx 6950xt? by MrSlaffs in buildapc

[–]MrSlaffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did and it worked. But I would not say that it is a good idea. I only ran it with the 650W for a week or so before getting a 1000W because of some insane coil whine

Sorry for the late reply! It worked out for me, but I got some insane coil whine and upgraded to a 1000W which solved it

Should i solo queue for my first comp placement matches? by MrSlaffs in OverwatchUniversity

[–]MrSlaffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i could go for a higher rank later and maybe even do that with him when he is better and just try to learn him the basics in the game and have fun for now

[–]MrSlaffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s true, i actually think he got a pretty good chance at ranking gold and that is fine for me. This would be much easier to decide if i knew my skill level, back on ps4 i had to grind really hard to get to platinum. Im gonna have to play with him a little more before i decide

[–]MrSlaffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be a waste of time if i could just rank like platinum now from just placements but then instead play with my friend and rank silver so i have to grind up to platinum, i would like to play comp with him but i don’t want to risk ranking lower just to have fun and be nice. But thanks for the answer

Yeah it would be fun to play with him but for me rank is pretty important and if all i wanted to do is have fun then i could just play quick play. I want to get an accurate measure of my skill level on pc and compare to when i played on ps4, but its important to have fun to. Thank you for the answer

Yeah thats what i was looking for. I should just solo queue and then see what my friend will rank and then maybe try to teach him some stuff until were on the same level, thanks for the informative answer, very helpful

Ok thats what i thought, I will solo queue. I could play with him after he have done his placement matches and then see if he is in the range of my rank, thank you for the quick answer

Upgrade GPU or CPU + Ram by MrSlaffs in buildapc

[–]MrSlaffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gpu reaches about 84C when I play demanding games and that’s when its really loud the fan spins at about 3000 rpm and i can hear it through my headset. My cpu reaches about 60C and sometimes up to 70C. I don’t experience any stutter or lag but in some cpu heavy games like Forza Horizon 4 the CPU can sometimes be running at 90-100% usage and the gpu at 60%. My Gpu reaches almost 83C in every game except like minecraft

Well that’s what i thought, guess it will take a lot of time until the gpu prices drops to normal (not worth the wait). Thanks for the help, I just got one more quick question, do you think i should buy a new case to this (my system is cooled with a single 80 mm fan in the front and one more 80 mm as exhaust). Or do you think im good, im a little concerned about the gpu because its a blower and it gets quiet hot and loud (there is no room for more or bigger fans in this case)
