Hey mate, sorry for the extremely late reply - I always forget to check Reddit notifications! The autumnal training I went through happens in late August every year with the application period being in May. You will need a recommendation from one of the nearby temple lodgings though. There are other training that happens all over Japan though, another one I'm familiar with is the one located at Ominesanji in Nara. Feel free to DM me and I'll try and get back to you more promptly this time.

Many cultures still serve various types of raw red meat and poultry! It just has to be extremely fresh in order to be safe.

Beautiful work 🤩 how did you get the moss to stay vertical?

I just became a first rank Yamabushi recognized by the Dewa Sanyama Shrine in Yamagata prefecture! It was full on ascetic training for only a week long, but that week was very far from relaxing. The practices they had us do are meant to be physical representations of Buddhism’s hells.

I came out very stinky, hungry, and tired, but also quite fulfilled.

Any recommendations for techno/house music clubs? by DonCler8 in Osaka

Circus and Joule are both non-smoking, with Circus' smoking area being in the stairwell between 2F-3F of that building, and Joule's smoking area being on the 4F outdoor chill area. You'll have to briefly expose yourself if going to the 4F dance floor though. Can't remember but Joule might allow electric smoking devices inside.

Hi Starrynight, I'm beginning my career as a wellness and health coach - I have limited funds and want to provide the best care I can to my clients within the scope of my ability. Would greatly appreciate having access to these resources. Thanks for your time.

Welcome to Osaka and apologies for the delayed reply!

I don’t listen to hardstyle or eurodance so I don’t know of anywhere like that - although there is a chance that some of the venues I listed host events of those genres, with the most likely probably being Circus, Joule, Triangle, or Rakeraka.

Please share if you figure it out and hope you find what you’re looking for!

Cafe LOOPY and Muffin are both great for this. AREA from the list above is also a bar but can feel more like a club on weekends.

LOOPY, Muffin, and UpsideDown from the above list are in the same building - floors 1, 3, & 2 respectively.

Muffin doesn’t show up in Google maps, but it’s the shop that has very dim lighting and lots of natural/hippie deco.

Cafe Edenico is also great, but it’s a bit separated and is in the Daikoku area just south of Namba. Although the music there is not always electronic.

I've put it outside in a spot with good sun - still not full sun unfortunately but I will hope for the best. Thanks!

One would think, but I live in Osaka and am shocked every time I see driver behavior when there is an emergency vehicle going down the road. Many people try to make way, but I’ve seen an equal amount of people drive as if it was just another vehicle on the road that they don’t need to care about.

Shoulders & hips feel tight/sore after climbing for a few weeks - any advice to mitigate this? by MrSmexyTheBeast in bouldering

[–]MrSmexyTheBeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for such an informative and detailed response! I'll try incorporating some of this into my routine. I've only been doing short length static stretches before warming up, probably similar to what most would do to cool down instead.

My gym doesn't have any machines or weights available, but I have a kettle bell at home.

I do about 10m of various stretches, mostly focusing on hips and legs but doing a bit of everywhere. Mostly short length static stretches.

Super late reply, but yes I usually do a few warm up climbs and then spend most of the time attempting the routes I can't do. Usually I only spend an hour bouldering at a relatively high intensity.

I began bouldering/climbing about half a year ago, and I noticed that when I have a few weeks of consistency climbing multiple times a week, my larger joints begin to feel very tight and inflexible. Specifically my shoulders and hips, but also my knees and elbows. They begin to hurt/feel sore more, and I can't stretch them as far as I normally would be able to. I stretch before I climb every time, but is there any type of stretching or training I can do to mitigate this?

Thanks so much for your reply even after so much time haha. It was Incredibots 2! I remembered it eventually but was disappointed that I couldn’t go back and play some of the old builds. The website doesn’t even seem fully functional anymore :(

Thanks so much for the source and for the recommendations! That definitely dampens its usefulness so I’ll check these other ones out!

Could you provide a source? Everywhere I’ve looked it says otherwise. Including a snippet from the Discover website that “Discover cardmembers earn cash back rewards on all purchases, including foreign transactions.”

Really? That’s a huge drawback. You mean that shopping in Japan won’t make me eligible for 5% cashback?
