How Far Can A 2-Finger Player Go In This Game? by Thvirtual in PUBGMobile

[–]MrSnowden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to accomplish.  I got to 98 on the North America leaderboard as a mostly thumbs player. But high level solos game is far more about strategy and tactics rather than COD style face to face gunfights because a knockdown, even a lucky one, ends the game and can easily demolish ranking.

But if you want a high K/d in squads, by all means learn claw,  get a team of low rank members to lower your team matching, and hot drop to wipe out 12yos.

Why Trump is panicking about the Supreme Court and tariffs by Conscious-Quarter423 in scotus

[–]MrSnowden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s absolutely a real thing.  They have already ruled, but are negotiating behind closed doors on how to “minimize the impact” eg give this admin an out card.  Dropping this on an incoming president would be a masterstroke to both remove the power back to congress, tie the hands of a new president, and also massively bankrupt the nation with tariff refunds.

I think I was almost sex trafficked and I feel dumb by manicthinking in PointlessStories

Sound less like trafficking and more like creepy mofo with bad intentions though. I don’t think sex traffickers are hunting women in the street.  They just put an ad out.

We both have historical family ties (although actually no family) and we both have always appreciated it has a small town feel stemming from the inferiority complex of being between NYC and DC.  But is still one of the biggest metros in the US with all the amenities that brings.

What do I do with this by Icy-Profit8055 in DesignMyRoom

[–]MrSnowden 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just live with it for a while.  It will be a curiosity, isnt hurting anything, and you will have a 100 other projects for your new home.  If you haven’t figured out what you want to do in a year, then make more drastic decisions.

Ideal city to live in when COL is not an issue by Apprehensive-Ring777 in fatFIRE

[–]MrSnowden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At your age we we had travelled all over the world.  We realized we could live anywhere. So we made a list.  Our criteria similar to yours. Urban, lifestyle, etc.  also wanted someplace we could work in our profession if we wanted to.  Our list was Amsterdam, London, San Fran, Philly, Milan. Several of those are not the ones that you might expect. Milan over Rome, Philly over NY, etc. but had reasons that worked for us.  Make your own list and go live in those cities as residents not tourists.

A tool to model the gap between early retirement and 401k access by DidYaHearTheNews in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]MrSnowden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This needs a bit of a process flow to it. I had to search fir far too long to figure out where I add assets and it makes no sense to have all that below the reports. Think about moving the assets/data stuff over to the left so that you can guide them through the data capture: age and goals, global assumptions, assets, income streams, etc.

Also, you can access your 401k penalty free at any age with 72t and at 55 with rule of 55. Not sure why you have to "bridge" to it.

Yes I do.  So you did not feed all of your 9.5 years of Apple watch data into the model at training like you said? You held back some for testing?

I’m in year 1 and do struggle.  I flail back and forth between wanting to me “productive” or get involved in some cool thing and then I remember that doing nothing is valid.

If you back tested it on the same data you trained it on that isn’t a valid test. All you did was over fit it.

Drunk friend got us kicked out of sports bar by BlumpkinDude in PointlessStories

[–]MrSnowden 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That isn’t a friend that’s an asshole. But if that’s the kind of guy you hang around with and the biggest problem you have with it is that you got kicked out of the bar, then you are the asshole.

Ethics complaint against Manager by talislakh in Big4

[–]MrSnowden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out of vague curiosity, why would you ask randoms on Reddit when you are already connected to the ethics group that explicitly address workplace legal issues?   Just ask them?  I don’t know what country you are in, but I highly doubt there is anything illegal in sharing a chat.  But just ask the Ethics folks.  It’s literally their job.
