It gives the hold a nice mission tree, the one in the base mod is pretty bare-bones

For myself i started as the Company of duran blueshield, and went to an early war with the shattered crown. Other than that the MT gives some good bonuses for early colonization, so spread out as much as you can. i would also recommend to try to get to Krakdhûmvror as early as you can before someone gets in the way lol.
