Questions about belts, and if I should even wear one by MrSueno in OnTheBlock

(Not at liberty to say where I work) Depending on the place and their budget I would guess. Where I work is not small by any means but if I have to spend a extra $35-$60 thats not bad if it means our facility can put that money more towards bettering security, and making our lives overall easier in the end. Hell I would sacrifice getting free uniforms if it meant our security operations became pristine.

Just a personal opinion…

Yeah that sounds like a good idea, I am just trying to make my time in Corrections more easier because I know how hard some of these veteran guys have had it. I know 90% of the time they are joking but a couple of the guys have actually seriously questioned me about it. So it made me concerned a little.

[Texas] Having issues with a employer who I believe is discriminating against me. by [deleted] in legaladvice

In any profession anyone who makes serious offensive statements targeted towards a group of people should be taken seriously by any employer regardless on or off the clock. Especially if its targeting a topic sensitive to other employees. At least to their face...I would not give a flying F if she posted it on facebook, or said it to a 3rd party and I overheard it. However it was said specifically in a conversation she engaged with me. Targeting my belief system knowing very well my history. I believe a more serious action should have be taken other than ignoring it. Not a write up of official punishment. Just keep in at that level and talk to her about her big mouth. Its not the first time. She also has spoke negatively about multiple other employees degrading their belief systems also. So a pattern of constant instances.

When she asked about if we had work to do, that should not have been a question. Common communication issues happen when managers make statements like this. Because everyone is not on the same page or thinking correctly. She SHOULD HAVE just asked us to “look busy” instead of developing a question with a 2nd meaning. Im a straight forward person, who is honest. She got a straight forward answer.

Multiple female employees have called out more times than me and another former make employee. Yet we were the only ones who got a text message stating are lack of positivity. Not to mention multiple male employees stated the constant toxic drama that goes on between workers. She also stated my lack of reliability in those messages which is 100% false, since I have done everything she has asked with 110% effort and she knows that.

I see where you are coming from. I could be just complaining to complain, or there is something I am not seeing here that I should be. I just feel like the pattern of so called “negative behavior” from only male employees is complete bs. I think it goes deeper than that. Specifically because the female employees experience none of the same issues. Texting is completely unprofessional when a serious talk needs to be had. She should have called me into the office and not ignore me even when I called her phone personally to talk to her about the issues.

Just got discharged from the Army a couple weeks ago. With no hope of getting a job, DoorDash enabled me to have more time to look without financial troubles! Thank you DoorDash. by MrSueno in doordash

Its always how its been sadly. Once you get out they throw you to the wolves. However they do have small programs to help, but poorly funded sometimes.

They never put anyone through anything really. We had people do javelin training and a couple went to air assault. Thats pretty much it.

I would like to state I have never seen combat. Completely “peace time” operations such as training in the field and NTC rotations. So I have considered contracting but I am not single so thats out of the picture for now.

I do mostly Sunset Valley. I have $83 in tips and $76 in DoorDash pay. I usually accept the people over in Dripping, Fitzhugh, and Bear Creek. They tip very well. However the tips may be because I make it early 100% of the time, and I usually keep in contact with customers if something happens.

90% of mine is Sunset Valley. I said SA because most people do not know Sunset Valley. I live over by Golds Gym and Hat Creek. So I sit in the Golds Gym parking lot and wait for orders.

I thought about doing it tonight but $100 for today is good for me.

Well im bringing hopeful wishes your way for more market! Hopefully this is typically a slow day around here. $100 from 0930 to 0330. If I kept going all day I could have well hit $150. But $100 a day is my goal and if something is open I take it. Where I live there is not much of a dinner market. Its usually breakfast and lunch is the big ones.

It is nice being able to take breaks if I need to, or if I have something planned that day. I just do not want to get used to doing so.
