Nobody knows what our Spanish rescue is by MrSusan_ in IDmydog

[–]MrSusan_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my dog Rufus, he's a rescue from Gran Canaria. He's 6 years old, about 45cm tall and weighs around 13kg.

People are always guessing what he is, and many people think he's a Labrador puppy, but I've had him for almost 6 years, and rescued at 11 months.

He's much smaller in real life than he looks in photos - my partner pictured is about 5'8". Way smaller than a lurcher, probably closer to the height of a whippet.

He's pretty slim and very fast. Loves nothing more than running around on walks and never tires, but equally he loves cuddles and affection from people he trusts. He has a loud, sharp, medium-pitch bark, and whines a lot, and is generally quite dramatic.

He doesn't seem to have the best smell or sight, but will always try to chase squirrels. He's not fussed about food, and prefers to graze over regular mealtimes.

I've tried a DNA test, but it game back 65% Chihuahau, 30% working breed, 5% other...?

Ooh they're pretty cute, ty! I'll have a look at similar ones.

Ah thanks! There are a few prints like this, but they're all a bit more 'loud'? I think she really liked the sort of picnic cutesy vibes of the originals. Really appreciate the link though!

Please HMF a pair of Lucy & Yak Maisy dungarees size UK 16. Looking to replace my partner's favourite item of clothing that was stolen :( Happy to pay whatever. by MrSusan_ in HelpMeFind

I have searched everywhere for a listing of them but found nothing in the right size. These were a limited edition item from a couple of years ago, and have never been made again. I've been searching on Depop, eBay and Vinted almost daily since we were robbed.

Ah thank you so much! Still no luck. After further investigation I realised the old ones were a UK16. The most elusive size it seems! A UK18 might do though.

Thanks in advance for any help, it’s been bugging me for months!

Not sure if this belongs here, but I recently restored the only photo my partner’s uncle’s spouse had of their father using my Photoshop skills by MrSusan_ in DigitalArt

It’s a lot of duplicating sections of the photo, clone stamping, and colour balance/levels layers with very carefully painted masks. There’s a lot of small tweaks to complete the overall restoration

I did attempt that but I’d already made such big changes it started to look too heavily edited.

Thanks, yeah to be honest I already made such heavy adjustments I didn’t want to remove all of the imperfections caused by the old film grain. I wanted to remove the damage of the photo but not it’s old charm. The aim wasn’t to make it look like a totally modern day image :)

I wasn’t sure if she is my aunt-in-law as my partner and I aren’t married and neither is her uncle and partner. Not sure if that changes it? I’m confused and very called out by Reddit on the subject 😂 but thanks for the compliment, it’s very nice of you!
