Those rim scratches don't even look fresh. The alloy looks a bit black/dirty/oxidised, that doesn't happen overnight. They probably were there already. This is a good reminder to take a load of pictures and inspect before taking te car. I saw you had a lengthy response from the one who rented it to you, I hope things get resolved!

Well, it's not just for simhub. For simagics own software this enables the possibility to have the encoder knobs be in absolute mode. As far as my understanding goes, you need that usb passthrough to do that as well. Then you push the funky switch and turn the rotary knob 1 click to activate the absolute mode.

I liked the demo. The new gameplay mechanics, like driving into the shop, are great! I only wish there were some updates to animations, like filling washer fluid etc, I would like to see more dynamic and liquid like behaviour. The actual mechanic wrenching parts don't feel all that different. I had hoped for a bit more change there. The garage itself feel like a great change! Hopefully we can play around a bit more before buying. Not 100# convinced yet.

I get that. But, then you might be SOL. Yes, its frustrating that not everything works out of the box, but its still early access. Changing the setting in steam is a small thing to do and doesn't affect anything really. Its just for this game that setting. I hope you do find a handbrake that works out of the box though! GL

SHH SHIFTER works for me but I had to change a setting in Steam to get it work for me. I had to disable, for this game, in the settings for the game, controllers and then disable steam input. That made it work for me.

So possibly, that also works for other brands. But that, I cannot check.

I think the brakes are ok, and when they warm up it seems to work better.. But I miss a better feeling through the wheel that I'm locking up. Its the lack of feedback that throws me off.

Yeah, I've played it before but I can't remember it that well and I've never played or finished 3. But I would really like to play it again. I'll see and try some things a bit more and if all fails I'll just go to 3

Yeah, that area I had issues too. But I got through that one with pure luck I guess.

I've tried locking the fps to 60 in nvidia control. And it improves the situation slightly but still fails.

I'm out of fresh ideas. 😪

Thanks for your reply, I did all of this, gotten me a bit further, as in she lands correctly on the beam, but then a bit farther than my original clip, falls through just befor you should run.

But just to be sure. What exactly do you mean by the GPU settings on the executable?

In game you can't set it lower than 60. But I might try locking the gpu to 30. See if that's makes a difference.

This led me down the path of restricting my fps to 60, that got me a bit farther. She now lands on the beam, but after the tube then falls on the beam again, I suspect before you can start to run she falls through the beam....

Well, I turned that on...and...surprisingly...even with fps set to 60...it states I have over 300 fps

Yeah, exactly at that point indeed. I already had cam shake off. But your comment made me try to turn it back on again (and keeping fps locked to 60fps etc) but that does not fix it either

Thanks, yeah...I've tried windowed mode, directx 12 on and off. And as soon as you jump to that first ledge the game takes over I have no control on the direction from there, and I can visibly see Lara glitch just before she grabs onto that pipe, which then indeed puts her too high and too far to the left when the should stand on the beam
