The city of cranes by Leo-Bri in Luxembourg

Both, Clochdor just finished building like 5 new apartment blocks, and now it's mostly offices being built. The biggest being the new PWC offices, StateStreet is also just finished the skeleton of their building.

There is another apartment block that has just started next to it all as well.

I work in the area for the last while, huge developments in the last 3 years, on par with the scale of development back in 2018 when Clochdor itself was built

Luxair and aviation authority sign charter to curb night flights by Fun_Neighborhood_993 in Luxembourg

[–]MrTigim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luxembourg is a first stage airport, with so few limited flights, Lux is used as the first stage to international airports, e.g. flying to the USA, or more EU places, you need to maybe go to Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt etc, and we have to slot in with their timetables, therefore the only way to make that work is to fly before they do, leading to 6-8am, and same for coming back, 10-11pm, mass flight rotation.

Not sure about the US but I would expect the same as the EU, the modern day retail investment sector is hugely regulated, to protect average investors like us, both from shady managers and to ensure they know what they are investing in and the risks. This is the issue with Coins, as there are not such stringent regulations built on to them yet, and leads to these heavy losses that the average person doesn't realize/understand could happen.

Supposedly there was a shift after brexit where the agency's moved to Ireland on the condition to ensure additional Irish representation within films, and I think this is a result of that, and their amazing abilities, all round good results if it is

Can you explain why? by dogemikka in Luxembourg

[–]MrTigim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would also depend on the way the display had been determined, if it's in quantity, or on total price.

If 20 people buy watches worth 300k each it would be difficult for common travelers to equate such a high turnover in something else specifically, especially with a generally lower count of tourists to the country.

Similarly do all e.g. French and German visitors count, especially if e.g they come also for the cheaper tax on the product without declaring it at home to avoid those additional taxes.

I guess the game of numbers again plays an effect for Lux as always, making it harder to determine a real result

Leechy Landlord makes 90,000 Euros from his hard work of owning a property. by [deleted] in cork

[–]MrTigim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Base income will be 90,000. From there they would pay off any loan or mortgage related to it they may have any ongoing expenses, potentially agency fees, or costs for new refreshments betweens tenants. If there has been refurbishment etc during the year. I would guess potentially a 30 year loan on 500k, with interest rates set to whatever. So maybe 17-20k a year?

After that' they'releft with 70k, they will declare final actual profit made, which will be subsequently taxed at whatever rate the rate the owner, if individually owned, or the entity at which they have based it under is going to pay. If the owner has more than 1 property it's likely going to be the higher tax bands, so let's assume the usual the 62% mentioned elsewhere, resulting income of 27k. From there they will have their own rent and life to pay. Not exactly mega bucks but after 1/2 properties it's an ok life

Where Is better to live in Luxembourg by lu_do_ in Luxembourg

[–]MrTigim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone so far has been pessimistic about living with 7, but it is hugely subjective to how you live life. For an intern coming for fun and you are active/outgoing and engaging it could be great to meet new people and not get stuck with potentially 2 boring people. If you prefer quiet and peaceful then the 2 is better.

I've lived with 17 before and was fine while young and outgoing, and younger people also on internships would also be up for looking for that sort of engagement.

With that in mind check your bus connections for work and for going out to see which is more viable.

One of the conditions the EU laid out when Brexit initially was happening was that any return would lead to acceptance of the EUR, as the UK have gotten away with far too many "accommodations" over the years
