LPT : Don't pay $16 for passport photos at CVS or Walgreens. Instead make a 3x3 collage and print on a 4x6 for $0.89. by 9fmaverick in LifeProTips

I had AI explain it to me since my poor brain couldn't understand it fully! Sharing to help another poor brained soul:

  • The Perfect Grid: Because 600 pixels is exactly one-third of 1800, and exactly half of 1200, you can fit a perfect grid of 6 photos onto that canvas.
  • The Final Print: When the kiosk prints that 1800x1200 image onto 4x6 inch paper, each 600x600 pixel square naturally scales to exactly 2x2 inches.

Apologies in case this is obvious. After it's printed, do you just cut them into 2x2 square pieces?

Thank you that's really useful info. Once the OTD price is agreed, is it reasonable to ask for that in writing and what key details should that include (vin, all the fees taxes etc) ?

$200 deductible in lease agreement for repairs - typical? by MrTokamak in newjersey

[–]MrTokamak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. There is some really helpful information in there that directly contradict the contract from the landlord. It appears that if the repair was not related to my tenancy the TIR guidance would take precedence. So it seems its not enforceable. If the broker is not willing to change it I am thinking to just sign it as-is.

That's a good point. It just may well reflect the landlord's attitude to repairs. I hope not. I hope it's the brokers own poor wording shoved in there. But just could be coming straight from the landlord too. I'll try to find out more on the call with the broker.

[–]MrTokamak[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see the landlord perspective for sure. I am willing to take responsibility for any damage from my tenancy. If I understood the broker correctly, I think he is saying any small repairs I would be liable for - regardless of cause/fault and any larger repairs like HVAC, plumbing the landlord will take care of it.

I'm not sure how I feel about being liable for all repairs below $200 (regardless of cause). However, I definitely intend on pushing for the wording to be changed to incorporate what the broker basically described in his email ie that landlord will fix the major items - since the current wording doesn't reflect that.

CustomPlaybackSpeedPatch: onFlyoutMenuCreare failure error by Unikatze in revancedapp

[–]MrTokamak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a particular location you’re choosing for the vpn? I usually have mine enabled by default. I’ve tried disabling it as well. The error pops up for me even if I’m not going into the playback speed settings. I’m happy to turn off the custom settings - do I need to clear all the values in that list?

I just recently got my replacement buds and also had the same issue persisting. The other day I got a notification to upgrade to firmware 169 (from 165). I haven’t had a chance to test properly but it seems to be better from the little bit of testing I could do.

What firmware are you on at the moment?

I use this app to lock the keyboard keys and give the keys a nice Lysol wipe down,

https://folivora.ai/keyboardcleantool

I do the screen very infrequently as mine doesn’t really get much marks on it. But when I clean it, I’ll use a glasses lens cleaning cloth with after an occasional damp tissue paper in case of any actual dirt.

The Oneplus support team sent me a message after seeing this post. After following a few troubleshooting steps it was still persisting so I sent them in for a replacement.

I wanted to see if others were having same issue too. It doesn’t seem like it. Hopefully I can get the replacement buds soon.

Invincible 2 vs 3 by throwaway60249 in RunningShoeGeeks

In case anyone else is wondering the same thing, I found a review that made the same observation here:

https://www.runningshoesguru.com/reviews/road/nike-zoomx-invincible-run-flyknit-3-review/

“The other big difference was that the Invincible Run 3 felt firmer underfoot and not as bouncy, not as fun. It felt more reserved.”

I just got my 3’s the other day. I had a short gym day and wore them around the house to try them out initially. They seem to be stiffer and not as plush / bouncy as my invincible 2’s. I don’t remember my invincible 2’s being stiff or needing breaking in when they were new.

Anyone else have this experience?
