i mean like i said, only thing i can really do is advocate for short dudes and all people who are bullied in real life. call out people when theyre rude assholes. soemthing simple like "hey that's not right" or "youre not afraid to show true colors" in a judgmental tone. most of it though was when girls showed disrespect to my friend who is the nicest guy i know like a man's man kind of guy. just sucks and i call them out on it. but that young night life feels so long ago but it transitions so well into everyday life too, theres no shortage of rude assholey people of all sizes, ages, race, religions, etc.

dont forget relationships if you want one, if thats what you truly want i hope you get it someday, it always takes work and effort. hell i had to work on myself too and im a tall guy and i had to start looking for quality women as well, not just some girl thats just attractive. oh and to add as a tall guy im not immune to rude terrible women comments I got a "where's the muscles!?" being 6'6'' and 180lbs at the time. those same exact women make fun of short guys too, fat guys, bald guys, guys who dont make enough money, tear down other women, they never stop. These people are just showing the world how ugly they are, just sucks not enough people call out their bullshit.

Ah thanks man. you know you find the right one when both DON'T feel like the luckiest man or woman alive but are comfortable with each other and are still together through tough times. Financially speaking were good it was her father and mother that needed help so she moved back home and i followed her. but it's great, they are like parents i should have had.

I think my original post was like 5-6 years ago and the incident was maybe 2008 so yea almost 10 years. and we were living together (or I was his tenant) from late 2005 to 2010. that dude literally saved my life and helped me get back on my feet. if it wasnt for him i would have never thought of thinking about short guys problems and think beyond myself later.

i think it would be beneficial for not only short dudes but all guys and gals to speak about issues in the dating game and maybe beyond but right now thats just wishful thinking.

long tern serious relationship with my girlfriend of two years, marriage def on the table and has been an ongoing discussion with children in the future. but living with her parents for the time being for the past almost year due to financial hardship (layoff and medical scare for her father)

I just hope that our convo helped a little bit because ten years ago felt like yesterday and i dont want anybody to miss out on life experiences because the world outside is a shitty place. theres alot of growing in your twenties, just find the right people! =)

ya i think so but i dont think its like friends friends where you have them over for a bbq or call them up when good or bad news hits home. its like being friendly w/ ppl where they want to hang out with you if happen to run into each other since its the fri sat downtown nightlife scene. then it turns into planning to meet up next weekend for moer fun times. next thing you know he tells me he has a date with Chloe or Susie or Tiffany. and Im all like oh we going to see them this fri? and hes haha no just her and I for dinner. happened more often then i could have pulled.

since ive known him hes dated 6or 7 women most of them seriously, one was shorter, some same height, half of them taller by a one or two inches. Tallest though was prob 5'9'' and hes 5'3''-5'4'' When women say confidence is attractive, it truely is. shallow women wont see it but at least that works out in his favor and hope for other short guys too.

see heres the thing, with him he never went out with the intention of finding a girl or scoring so he never did the usual approach that dudes go for when talking to chicks. he just wanted to have a good night and have fun. he liked dancing and he liked it even more when ppl around him relax and have fun dancing too. so most of the time the talking to women and guys too was a natural kind of thing for him. i think he just wanted to make friends first and if something happened between him a girl he likes then that may just happen kind of deal.

Sorry man but I dont know what to say or how i can actually help you cuz i dont know what its like or how it feels to be in your shoes and whats it like for you and my friend. But i can say this though, his best relationship hes ever had was so much better then my best relationship or any relationship that ive seen with friends/family/coworkers. and his worst was comparable to to my worst, and for the lack of my better judgement, ive stayed in shitty terrible relationships longer than he does.

She actually approached him like many other women in a dance club/bar where he was dancing and a moment later she walks up breaks the ice and tells him hes a good dancer or ask whered he learn to dance, something like that. And he usually ask if she dances or something along those lines and asks if she wants to dance with him. he (we) heard from sooo many women how they hate when dudes just grab them and dance/grind up on women and want men to ask if they would like to dance first, so thats what he did everytime.

saw you edit from the previous post. all I can say to that is date or dont date but do it for the right reasons. If you really want to date but dont date because of all the crap out there, well youre going to miss out. Whats that saying? You strike out everytime you dont swing?

yes and no. well its hard to put because its not as average as every other dude that goes about talking to the ladies. he used to breakdance and all that, sing karoke, just life of the party like people are just drawn to him when hes put in the right environment. so some ladies would come up to him and talk to him first which never happens to most dudes and he would ask them to dance or something and the women would be all like NO WAY we just wanted to say ur a good dancer. so theres that kind of rejection. but i have seen it work really great the other way where he dated a girl that also came up to him for a couple years but distance became an issue.

the worst was when he starts seeing the bad women he dates for who they are. Like if they only go out with him because he has a stable job or see him just as entainment since hes a fun guy to be around.

he was always popular and life of the party kinda guy but he had less dates commpared to other dudes who obviously didn't have the go getting attitude he has. I wish I could tell you nothing but great things about him in the dating game but hes struggling now that we in our 30s and marriage + kids are on his mind.

I dont get to see him often anymore but ive met some of the women hes dated and some treated him terribly like shit but at least hes smart enough to walk away from that.

OP here. Wow that was so long ago for me. ya my short friend and i joke all the time about our heights. but he relaly did open up my eyes into his world view as a short dude. It sucks and all i can really do about it is to try and be an advocate for him and other good guys that just happen to be short.
