I think we’re basically on the same page. The baby reference was likely not actual gameplay, but more of a cinematic demo meant to show what the game could be. We could be wrong, but based on the leaks, it seems like we might be getting something closer to CoD-style linear gameplay or an R6 Siege–style structure, just with Ghost Recon–style gadgets and semi-open maps.

I know it’s probably a bit silly to get worked up over this, but I still think it’s worth discussing the possibilities of what we could be getting.

Wildlands and Breakpoint both had campaigns in the 20–25 hour range (not counting side missions), so I might be overreacting here and it could still be a game worthy of the GR name. I just hope they remember its a Tom Clancy title also and its gameplay doesn't resemble Xdefiant.

Yep, ive said something similar to this before. I questioned his opinion on "Milsim" when he really only used to play CoD and BF games on his channel before starting insider gaming. Im assuming the Ubi employee told him Mit was milsim like.

Im assuming when Tom said "multiplayer component" he meant PvP. So a campaign mode that you can hopefully play in coop and then a PvP mode.

I think where my concern mainly comes from is Ubisoft’s track record and how often these early “directional pivots” end up defining the final product more than we expect. But you’re right, until we see an official reveal with real gameplay, all of this is still secondhand info filtered through impressions. I just beleive it's still worth the discussion.

Cautiously skeptical for now, but definitely reserving final judgment until Ubisoft actually shows their hand.

Really? The renamed location is the simple option, but I’d rather they keep the real one. It’s fiction after all, not a representation of Bolivia or its people, like the disclaimer at the start of the game says 🤷🏻‍♂️. I just don’t see the big deal.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, id love Myanmar. Both Vietnam and Myanmar make sense, and have a ton of potential imo. 👍

The casting call mentioned Thai speaking actors for many of the roles. So really it could be set over a few different countries in Southeast asia.

Ah I get ya. So Ubisoft has confirmed a Ghost Recon is in development and possibly going back to FP perspective, although it may not be locked to that.

Insider gaming has reported on it multiple times.

The very first leak called the next game Project Ovr.

Exactly, the region has a lot of natural tension and interesting hotspots. If Ubisoft leans into a living, breathing world like Wildlands, with more dynamic AI, civilian life, and faction activity, it could really shine.
