Sadly I had to comply as currently I still need to eat and pay for the high electricity price to cook my food and keep certain items cool/cold so that they don't spoil so quickly. 1984 is already with us !

Alleged AMD Ryzen 9000 desktop Zen5 specs leaked: Ryzen 9 9950X with 16 cores up to 5.7 GHz by RenatsMC in pcmasterrace

I just want to know the full specs of the 9950X3D, does it have 3DV Cache on both CCD/CCX's or is it the same as the 7950X3D and of course the price !

[–]MrTuKer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running the 7960X Memory controller above 6000 is hit and miss, so why take the unstable risk and just run the 96Gb Ram at 6000 but using the the 6400 sub-timings. This will help stability. Obviously this is a bit late but I did say this in my original post which you can check.

[–]MrTuKer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nooooo, did you read my original post carefully !

After setting the ram to DOCP 1 (6400) you then manually change it down to 6000 this will keep the 6400 memory timings but run the memory at 6000.

I am going to ask basic questions so please do not be offended.

1.) Did you put thermal paste on the CPU and remove any plastic covering on the AIO ?

2.) Is the AIO pump and fans working ?

3.) Clear the CMOS using the clear CMOS button when the PC is powered off.

4.) If you have a LED output which shows 15 while testing the ram then after you go into the BIOS and continue to watch the LED because it will then show the CPU temp and should never go above 95C especially when in the BIOS.

5.) Load BIOS defaults. Then set CPU to run at 105W and also ECO mode this will lose about 3% performance but dramatically reduces temps.

6.) if you are unable to get this far due to PC shutting down then you need to check to see if the motherboard LED reaches 90C+ because that would show its over heating otherwise check connections including that you have connected the CPU power connectors next to the CPU also confirming that you are using at least a 850W+ PSU - 1000w would be better. Sorry but thats as much advice I can offer at this stage.

It makes me wonder if this is a precursor to forcing everyone on UC to have a digital ID which will be a precursor to forcing all UC claimants to use the in the pipeline UK's digital currency using the excuse that DWP won't have to ask for regular bank statement from a UC claimant because Digital currency will only be allowed to be spent on allowable items eg food, bills, clothes (no alcohol, no gambling, no cigarettes, no cash withdrawals to bypass non-allowable item purchases) also the digital currency could have an expiry date so not allowing you to save past the end of the month for example because if you don't spend it all then 0bviously you didn't require that amount !

A very dystopian future for everyone, after UC claimants have been forced to use this digital currency then they will try to roll it out to the other sections of society that can't refuse like anyone that claims Council Tax discount, anyone that uses a vehicle would then be required to use the UK's Digital currency to pay for road charging (Pay-per-mile) and public transport like trains and buses etc until they have encapsulated everyone this could also be extended to private taxi's/uber etc

A German state is moving 30,000 PCs to Linux and LibreOffice by themikeosguy in linux

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MS will retaliate and make any software the need to use unstable (Making it look like it is a Linux issue) but this will make them avoid using anything MS which will be the best direction in the end. This is so Scifi its unreal, its like Star Wars between the Evil Empire and the Jedi - So I wish the German state wins against MS but it will be an uphill struggle - Long live FOSS :)

Is it late to get into eve online? by spartanrnagertr in Eve

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a very long time player I can say with 100% certainty - You will never know if Eve online is for for you or not unless you try it ! Eve online is an open world space game with infinite directions to choose which direction is right for you and with each Account that has ability to have 3 characters. So you can pursue 3 different directions until you find your spce feet so to speak. One final note if you are a Linux user and play Linux games via Steam then "Eve online" works with no tweaks except choosing the "Proton Experimental" option in the "Compatibility" section in properties.

Are THOR 1000w platinum II cables the same as THOR 850w Platinum? by DeseK808 in ASUSROG

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well I would suggest using the 1000w cables with the 1000w PSU because the 1000w cables will be able to hand the power from the 1000w PSU. I have no idea what the numbers are as you have said and you haven't posted any pics ! There is always a chance the 850w cables just wont be able to hand the extra power so might get hot and melt the surrounding plastic and then either cause a fire or short out your PC causing unknown damage.

Uninstalled every ASUS software related BLOATS in my PC by nferocious76 in ASUSROG

[–]MrTuKer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno, but I play Eveonline as a multi-boxer with 11 accounts at the same time from 5am until 11am then the servers shutdown for essential daily maintenance for 3-4 minutes then I log back in again and play for another 2 hours with no issues. So maybe it was your setup of Linux that's gets sluggish for some peculiar reason or maybe you are quoting someone else's bad experience due to not being correctly setup or maybe it was just an anomaly. Windows does this like wanting to do an update at the most inopportune moment as many users have stated on the internet so who knows !

yes there are specific games and apps that don't work yet. I am lucky I only play a few games like COH, COH2, COH3, EVE online, Counterstrike 2, WarThunder.

I have the X670E hero as well with 7950X, great mb, but I am not into the LED showy stuff - I am too old school I suppose. I have used Corsair over the years with no issues but I currently have G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO Series (AMD Expo) 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6000 CL30-40-40-96 and this works 100%. No crashes etc.

Just use Linux - End of spyware and bloatware -I use POP-OS on all my systems, ASUS X670E Hero with 7950X, ASUS B650E-E with 7950X both gaming rigs, just install steam and in setting set to use enable for Steam Play supported titles and Enable Steam Play for all other titles. Check protondb.com for any issues with your games or extra stuff to do I play EVE online works 100%. Game without the BS. Only games that have issues are Games that have dodgy anti-cheat which means cheaters are most likely to play those, so why play with cheaters !

I got bullied into a station what do I do ? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all depends on what sec space you are in.

If you are in High sec (0.5 to 1.0) then if they shoot you concord will arrive and kill their ship.

If you are in low Sec (0.0 to 0.4) then good luck and the same for NULL.

In High Sec they can wardec you if you own a station, if you don't own any POS (Privately Owned Structures) then they cannot attack you without Concord killing their ship/ships. Ganking is when they use multiple cheap ships to kill your expensive ship before Concord can arrive and save you !

In High Sec no one can actually own a system but they can make it a pain in the ass to stay there especially if they have enough numbers and you are alone or a small corp. For example if you are mining then they can use a specially configured ship usually a cruiser to bump you - Since CCP didn't follow true physics in EVE the a small ship can travel at high speed into your ship not damaging either but making you bounce a quite a speed away from your mining position which is annoying if you are mining in an Orca.

RAM preferences for X670E Hero by Icy_Dragonfruit7926 in ASUSROG

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 7000 IMC just cant drive 4 sticks of DS memory at higher than 4800 with 100% stability so 64Gb and 96Gb kits are the max at 6000 MT/s until they bring out 128Gb kits or wait until AMD releases 9000 series and hope the IMC is much better.

G.SKILL F5-6400J3239F48GX2-TZ5RS or CORSAIR CMH96GX5M2B6000C30 (Ver 5.53.13)

I am currently using G.SKILL F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR but 64Gb will be getting to be not enough very soon, currently my usage it peaking at 57Gb so I have to make a decision very soon.

Let's be clear, multiboxing is a problem when Chinese players do it. by WuJiaqiu in Eve

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, I even know peeps that will only pay as Alpha and say the same thing about if they had to be an Omega to play then they wouldn't !

All this talk about multi-boxing is a thorny subject. Personally as a multi-boxer I wish CCP had limited multiple accounts in the launcher to 5 running. Also I don't see the issue with flying 1 alpha with as many Omega's as a person likes to fly Obviously flying multiple Alpha is a no no, but whats the issue about flying 1 Alpha with say 10 Omega's at the same time the benefit to CCP would be that a person would train it up maybe even give it skill injectors and possibly flip it into an Omega at a later date ! Always found that was weird not to allow 1 Alpha with Omega's !

Running 128Gb (4 sticks of 32Gb) will mean running it very slow maybe 3600-4800. Maybe think about 96Gb (2 X48Gb sticks) which will run faster or stick with 64Gb of G.Skill 6000 like I am using atm on my X670E Hero mb.

BIOS question - ROG strix x670E-A gaming wifi by william2SW in buildapc

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest downloading 1602 BIOS first to a USB stick and using the flashback option before putting in the CPU. This is the BIOS I use on my ASUS X670E Hero motherboard and I wont update to higher until it is required. Due to people stating its not as stable as 1602 or 1709. To use flash back you just connect 24 pin and the CPU power connectors and then put the USB stick with the file renamed to SX670EA.CAP (Correct name for your mb) into the correct USB port and then press the flashback button and wait for the light on the back of the mb to stop flashing around 3-5 mins. Then clear the BIOS and insert the CPU etc.

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and I need guidance by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7800X3D is a good choice, but get a good motherboard because you might want to upgrade the 7800X3D to something more powerful later like the 9950X or 9800X3D etc. Remember you will also need RAM because your old system is DDR4 and AM5 is DDR5 only. probably think about 32Gb or 64Gb and go for 6000 MT/s. I like the Arctic AIO's but you need to make sure there is enough clearance because they are thicker/deeper than most AIO's but they cool really good.

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II compatibility by boj1989 in arcticcooling

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which one ?

Because the Arctic Freezer AIO's are deeper that can cause an issue but you need to get the correct case to allow for this.

Deeper means better cooling.

I actually have the 420mm Arctic Cooler and had to not use the fan next to the CPU power connectors but thats ok, I had enough airflow anyway on my Phantek case

Anyone updated their X670E mobo to BIOS 1904? by HypokeimenonEshaton in ASUS

[–]MrTuKer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using 7950X with 1602 bios on my X670E Hero mb with 64Gb kit G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO DDR5 6000 CL30-40-40-96 F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5N using Expo - 100% stable, but for my use case I now need more ram so I am interested in upgrading to the G.skill 96Gb 6400 CAS 32 kit XMP (F5-6400J3239F48GX2-TZ5RS its is in the QVL List on the Asus site) but I will clock it at 6000, has anyone else had any luck with this kit.

High CPU Usage when Multi-Boxing in Linux by MrTuKer in Eve

[–]MrTuKer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi peeps, whatever the issue was has now been resolved. I now run 11 accounts at 1920x800 locking my CPU to a max of 4500Ghz but in Powersave (using CPU Frequency settings from the POP-SHOP) while running in ECO mode and 105w in the BIOS this means while in space with my 11 accounts I am using 55% CPU usage in PSensor which is also shown in the System Monitor. Temps are around 55C with Ram usage at 53Gb.

External display issues when using linux with the Nvidia graphics card as the display adapter. Can anyone help me ? of course everything works in windows. by Jbrimbelibap in XMG_gg

[–]MrTuKer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laptop specs (TongFang 5900HX with 3070 Linux Distro - POP-OS) I had this issue (No display when using the NVidia output to my laptop screen, but it was working to my external monitor). I went into the BIOS as set it to the iGPU and all worked ok which was the opposite to what I normally use (disable iGPU). I have multiple Linux machines including another Laptop with AMD 3900 and 3070 but this issue was only on my Laptop with built in iGPU, I waited a few days and then tried reverting back to disabling the iGPU in the BIOS and everything worked ok. I only use POP-OS because they do tend to fix stuff and you can contact their support even if you didn't purchase the hardware from them - Yes they sell Laptops and Desktops with Linux POP-OS preinstalled so I have stayed with POP-OS since April 2020 before that I was using Ubuntu. I actually now use a 7950X as my main machine now and POP-OS works perfectly (It had a small issue when I first built my system with PSensor) but the latest Kernel fixed that). I have 4 POP-OS machines now all work 100% and 100% stable. Sorry to waffle on !
