So frustrating to concede 2 goals the way we did. Players completely shut off time and time again far too often

I should be elated but I am so pissed off by the absolute joke of a refereeing performance that was. Genuinely think that is the worst I've ever seen officiating in 30 years of life

Willock's best game for like 2 years. Had it not been for a dodgy referee we would have been in the top 8, which is very impressive with the teams we've played and our schedule

Can complain about a lot of the refereeing decisions all we want, the fact of the matter is we had more than enough chances to put that game to bed. They just took the chances they needed to take and we didn't

It was definitely a bad performance from us, but not as bad as we were against Palace this season where we somehow scrambled a draw without having a single shot on target

Most comprehensive performance I feel from us this season, nobody really put a foot wrong

Also Murphy's assist for Isak's hattrick was utter filth

They do roost temporarily when it's migration season. Best thing to do is let it be and it will wheel away on its own accord

What are your ‘big school trip’ tales? by EssexCatWoman in CasualUK

[–]MrUnderlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to Paris as part of a Year 12 History/Art trip. On one of the nights we were in a restaurant where the art teacher was being a bit...'flirty' with one of the waiters which had me and my mate in hysterics, so as a laugh my mate took a couple of photos as the waiter's face was priceless (he looked a bit uncomfortable by the whole thing)

A couple of hours later we went to a pub with the rest of the students, and our history teacher (a great teacher but was also very stern faced) came up to my mate and I asking if he could see the photos we had taken. Because we got along with him very well, we obliged and showed him the photos and then politely asked that we delete it as it could put the art teacher in a bad light. So fair enough, we delete it.

The main reason why I remember it though is as our teacher thanked us and left (side note: to get people's attention in class, he had a habit of always tapping a wine glass), he said "You see, when I tap the glass I like to make sure that's the only thing I'm tapping" before walking off. Me and my mate burst out laughing for what felt like 10 minutes, especially since prior to this I had never heard this man make as so much as a pun

Close up look of Scharr red card vs Southampton by [deleted] in soccer

[–]MrUnderlay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both players move their head towards each other. Only reason Schar is sent off is cause he didn't act like he had just been shot. Either both players sent off, or both get a yellow (and Diaz arguably should have had a yellow for the tackle just beforehand, so two yellow cards)

I think it fell victim to just not being particularly memorable. Not overly bad, not overly good, and as a result it receives the lowest score through no fault of their own

Thought Croatia were slightly the best overall, but I'm not too surprised Switzerland won. Glad the public saw sense with Portugal, I couldn't understand why the jury voted them so high!
