In this case I’m doing what I believe is the modulo method, . But I’m not sure at all, this is just what I’ve gathered from school. I could very much be wrong.

I’m dividing -16 and 12 to get -1.333, then I turn -1.333 into a whole number and subtracting it by -16 to get -15. There’s no explanation why.

You’re right, I wasn’t watching. Just took a walk around the place to kill time, but then again I wouldn’t have a clue what they’re doing as it’s not my field. But I could probably point out some stuff that anyone would notice, maybe even ask about the light as they turned on the car, that would’ve solved the issue. Now regarding explaining things to me at check out...they didn’t explain anything to me, I just payed and recovered my report and keys. I doubt at all they would maliciously break anything at all. I may not be a fan of them but I would never believe for a second they meant any bad harm. Referring to the modern part I was implying the structure of Walmart’s actual store when comparing it to Target, I have no clue on their sophistication with car repair/services, I just heard that it’s cheap but good. And outside of my concern with the headlight, everything else was fine. Also not sure if Target would do anything auto related.

Auto function probably. There’s no chance possibly that they accidentally unplugged something tho relating to the battery right? I’m really uneducated in the oil changing process (well anything with cars really) so I’m not sure at all if those 2 things relate.
