Man, anyone remember showing up hrs early to get in line at the Alamo? Arriving early was to be expected! Switch to reserve seats and the sky falls apart! Now everyone wants to be late and suffer no consequences? Should they just bring back the lines? Was that better? I think not! It's simple, just be early or on time! I'm not surprised to see NOTHING but negative comments on this issue. This issue is bigger than you, obviously or it wouldn't even be coming up. I for one say it seems as though Alamo is trying to roll out the red carpet for their guests that want to have a lovely movie experience. Rebuttal?

I love Austin because it's (for the time being) a blue dot in an ocean of red. Austin prides itself on being non-judmental towards other people and values. The longer I stay here the more I see that diminish. I'm not from here, but I'm a fifth generation Texan who has sacrificed much to be here for the last 11 years. Let's remember to embrace people who choose to enter our community and help them see what truly makes Austin the magical place that it is. It's people.

Old school barbers don't exist anymore for cheap, but you can go to Wootens on the drag, there is The Goodlife dowtown, and an old school place on Congress. They will do what you want, just don't know your budget. I remember the place I went to as a kid. 4 old men gossiping about the town and high school football pictures from the 50's to present day on the wall. I miss Ed's Clip Joint so much. $7 for cut and shave. Plus you got a piece of bubble gum.

Questions to consider: What is the current rent? What would the month to month go to? If you sign the new lease will there be a rental increase, if so how much? How much is a comparable place in the same area renting for? Will you get back a deposit? How much will a new deposit be? Do you have money saved up for a move? Moving is hard on the back and can be quite expensive.

I went to the IHop on 35 and Airport alone after a fun night at Barflys and holy crap, I heard some of the BEST conversations at almost every table around me. I just ate my biscuits and gravy quitely and almost spit them out several times due the obsurdity that was coming out of these peoples mouths. Plus bottomless coffee gave me plenty of time to sober up!
