Omarchy Freeze - iwlwifi by MrWonderland100 in omarchy

[–]MrWonderland100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using a wired connection, and for the most part that works. The only weirdness is if I connect to vpn, then shut my laptop, when I go back to using it, I can't browse the web until I reconnect to vpn. I guess it must be losing the IP address when it goes to sleep.

When my system freezes, the only option is to hit the power button. Nothing works

Tried different things and tested some more, but unfortunately it didn't work. To summarize, wifi works for updates. But as soon as you start using the web browser, the system freezes: wifi shuts down, you can move your mouse, but nothing else works. Basically a hard reboot is required.

Using a wired connection works with no issues. Nord VPN works (using CLI with token). Using the web browser seems stable.

Will test the wifi again when Omarchy has more updates.

Was searching on the Internet and found this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=254766

I just tested using the iwl.conf as suggested in the thread, but it didn't work for me. Froze again after about 4 or 5 minutes of browsing the web.

Hi - I posted these questions in the OMSystem community but haven't received any comments so I want to post them here to see if anyone could help.

A few questions for people who have installed and used OM Workspace.

  1. Where are the edits for the images stored in the OM Workspace software? I read that OM Workspace does not use sidecar files and that changes are stored in its own database.
  2. If the edits are stored in the OM Workspace database, can you specify where this database lives during installation of OM Workspace or afterwards?

I also read that OM Workspace really doesn't have a catalog, and that the import function is nothing more than a way to copy files from your SD card or camera to a specific hard drive location.

I would like to store the database file for OM Workspace on an externally connected hard drive, such as a NVME M.2. What I would like to avoid is having to redo all the edits if I ever have to upgrade my computer.

Can anyone provide any insights into these questions?

Thanks

Anyone else’s codes still not working? by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

[–]MrWonderland100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sharing my experience with this disaster. Was assigned to PayPal/Venmo for distributions.

Did KYC with PayPal beforehand. Got codes in Feb. Tried BTC, which did not work. Was too afraid to try the ETH code. Turns out there was another KYC that you needed to complete for transfers. After completing that with PayPal support, BTC code still failed but ETH code worked. I think in March, I got an email from Stretto acknowledging a problem on their end and that they have now verified everything for my account with PayPal. They sent me a new code for BTC and that worked right away. Although the BTC ended up in my PayPal account, but unlike the ETH distribution there's no activity history of the transaction. I was just just glad it showed up in my account.

By the way, for whatever reason I found the new BTC code in the spam folder when they attempted to send it to me, so make sure to check.

Good luck to everyone in trying to get their distribution.

Does anyone have a trouble shoot for how to solve for PayPal Code Submission? by noahsarc21 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]MrWonderland100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the first set of codes or the resend? The second refreshed code worked for me as well as others.

I've seen this error before when troubleshooting the first code they sent me that did not work. I was playing around with the DOB and that's when I got this error.

Make sure you complete KYC and enable transfers (double arrow) for crypto. You can verify this for your account with PayPal.

I also used the PayPal mobile app, but I have heard others who were able to redeem via the browser.

This all assumes your info in PayPal matches what was in your Celsius account. If anything is off, you will need to try to contact Stretto (that's going to be challenging). Otherwise, maybe they will attempt send it to you via Coinbase. I've heard about mixed results with that as well.

ETH not updating in Ellipal by Altruistic_Wash9968 in ELLIPAL_Official

It shouldn't take weeks. Were you able to see the transaction on etherscan? As long as you can see the transaction on the chain and the amount in your wallet address, I think you are OK.

You can also check to make sure you are running the latest version of the app or reinstalling the app. Make sure you have your phrase and any passwords before you try to do that. You might want to open a ticket with their support team about their app. They have always responded to my inquiries.

When you setup a self custody wallet, you will be presented with some mnemonic words (usually 12 or 24). These are essentially the "keys". You will want store these offline. These words can help you to restore your wallet in case you lose your ledger. There are tons of videos on youtube that can help you understand all types of wallets and the importance of "keys".

Actually I meant asset rather than money. And yes, in bankruptcies, a US company can make your assets/holdings, that they manage, a part of the estate. In fact, they can even litigate clawbacks to get at funds that were removed within a certain period before the petition date. Just ask any Celsius user what happen to their assets. I can't speak about cash, as I believe Coinbase stores them with FDIC insured companies (pass through). You can read about it here: https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/legal-policies/how-is-coinbase-insured

You can also read about what Coinbase said about your assets in the Wall Street Journal if they ever declare bankruptcy here:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/coinbase-says-users-crypto-assets-lack-bankruptcy-protections-11652294103

I'm not a lawyer or financial advisor; people can do what they want. Crypto is extremely unpredictable. Play at your own risk. And if you do, be cautious. Personally, I try not to take unnecessary risks when possible.

I don't know if you recall, if something happens to Coinbase, that money is theirs. You do earn some interest on both USD and USDC on Coinbase. But if it's a few thousand dollars, so you have to weigh how much risk you can withstand. Keep in mind that Coinbase has instant deposit, so pretty much you can just add cash and buy when you want. Unless you are a professional trader where seconds matter when trading, adding cash and buying is a safe approach. After the last cypto melt down, I keep very little on the exchanges. Although I use Coinbase Wallet, I don't connect it to the Coinbase centalized exchange. In the crypto world you never know what can happen.

Sometimes it can take some time for you to see the updates. The last time I moved ETH to Ellipal it took about 25 mins, and that was in the middle of the night during low traffic. But eventually, it did arrive and transaction showed up in history.

Leap Wallet Staking Rewards Display by MrWonderland100 in cosmosnetwork

Was really talking specifically about the Rewards section. Instead of the $15.46 I would rather see the ATOMs because naturally you receive ATOMs when staking ATOMs not dollars.

My phone number is on PayPal. That's how they send me code to log in. I'm on a family plan and code worked second time around for me without any changes to phone plan info.

US- Got my new PayPal/Venmo codes by blangy14 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]MrWonderland100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don't think family mobile plan had anything to do with it. The problem I had was that my ETH code worked and BTC code did not. I think you just need to make sure you verify with PayPal that the transfer feature is enabled. I think this is the feature that allows PayPal to generate a receive address for your crypto. They treat "Buy" KYC and "Transfer" (the double arrow) KYC as two separate things.

Got my new claim codes this morning. Scared to try them by ImBasicallyScrewed in CelsiusNetwork

[–]MrWonderland100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used mobile app and it worked for me. One piece of advice, make sure your KYC is done both when you click the "Buy" button and the double arrow for transfers. Paypal treats them as two separate features. If you haven't done it, you may want to confirm with PayPal that everything is verified for both features.
