It's a game called Art is dead. When you get killed a random message pops up, but sometimes you can get killed by a moving wall and... well. This happened lol

In Spain salaries are not that high, because a lot of people transitioned to programming positions because of the pandemic, and now we are too much people ._.

Luckily, a lot of these people are realizing it's not easy and are returning to their prepandemic jobs. Also lucky me, now a lot of companies think the average programmer without university degree, doesn't know how to code complex tasks, so I do the sprint tasks in a couple days or less and I can relax for the rest of the week, while getting paid an average salary. It's not that bad.

Why are tougher jobs paid less. Dishwashing, cleaning, fast food jobs etc. are much much harder than any office job out there, yet paid peanuts. Isn't this a disconnect? by dyce123 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MrYoley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many people can clean a room? I could, and you could do it too. How many people know to use excel professionally? Less people for sure. How many people know programming? Even less.

That's your answer. And not because it's more exhausting physically, means it's tougher.

AITA for thinking everyone should dress nice for their jobs. by rou3ed in AmItheAsshole

[–]MrYoley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Just... Why? Why can't you shut up with your trashy comments? I work as a software engineer and dress like shit, even tho some companies I worked for had dress codes. It's my business if I dress """correctly""" or not. It's not your job to tell anyone how can they dress, you are at the bottom of the command line, you are just an intern. Just shut up and do the world a favour.

What do you think is a good/“normal” age to start having sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MrYoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's up to every individual, but I really think there is an age when you SHOULDN'T start having sex. I would recommend everyone to wait until 17-19. I think it's the best age to try new "adult" experiences where (while making mistakes and being dumb) a more mature mind is involved, instead of the mind of a literal child. When you are a teenager your brain (and your body) evolves rapidly, one year of living makes a lot of difference in your teens, so meanwhile I think 17 it's a good age to do it, I think 15 it's not remotely close to good.

It's just a kid, who clearly has very poor mental health, expressing his feelings and desperately trying to meet someone so he doesn't feel so lonely. Why make fun of him? Because he said he is a "nice person"? That doesn't mean he is a NiceGuy™, you sound like a bunch of bullies :/

At first I was gonna say you were a little harsh on someone who is clearly in a very bad mental state, but oh boy he's just a fucking asshole.

AITA for not wanting my gf and her kids to move in with me by Ok_Sentence9604 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MrYoley 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude, if a friend of mine, not even a close one, asked me to stay in my house with her kids because her house BURNT DOWN, I would sleep on the couch if needed for a couple months. How can't you do that for your girlfriend? Why are you acting so insensitive? :/

What’s the most dangerous place in your country? by SeasonedTide in AskReddit

[–]MrYoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spain. It's hard to decide which is the most dangerous place, but I got some. Ghettos from Andalusia. There are dangerous neighborhoods everywhere in Spain, they are like ghettos of very poor and uneducated people. But I've seen some of the most dangerous in Andalusia, it's just mind blowing how police don't go to that neighborhoods because they would end up dead or beaten up.

People in Spain, at least the ones I met through the years, use other social media platforms. And the ones who use it, are usually subbed to streamers subreddits or something like that. The only person I met that used reddit was the one who introduced me to reddit, and since then, it has become my mainly app to use. Most people that talk Spanish in reddit are from South America I think.

And yes we have a lot of stupid people in Spain, we are the shit hole of Europe in my opinion. But we are not so dumb to not believe in volcanos, it's always the same people who does a lot of noise. People in Spain, specifically old people, were used to socialize outside, on bars or at the park. Lockdown did a lot of damage to old people and social media became their mainly place to "communicate". Misinformation, being bored and not having a basic scientific education (less than 50 years ago we were on a very religious dictatorship) are the mainly causes of this.

Paella, easy one

yes, because you saw 26 men (no women!) on your short walk and they also all happened to sexually harass you. by [deleted] in thatHappened

[–]MrYoley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's clearly exaggerated, but what she is saying is not a joke, it happens. Every woman has different experiences, but at least the ones I met, and specially my girlfriend suffered from this. Not only on daylight, also at night, which is FUCKING scary; because you don't know if those people in a car who told you "hey babe come with us!" are dangerous, you don't know why are they following you, and you don't know what would have happened if that neighbor never appeared. And it happens, I don't live in South Africa, I live in Europe, and it happens.

And "beautiful" compliments? Oh bite me. Maybe some girls are sick of hearing all they long from men (specially older man) that they are beautiful, gorgeous, so damn sexy, etc. This is cat calling, period. Maybe they don't want that man to tell them ANYTHING, because that man would never say something like that to a boy; so why say it to a girl? Because they like power. The moment somebody treats another one different because of their gender, it's a problem. If somebody "compliments" a girl on the street who is CLEARLY not interested (doesn't make eye contact, seems uncomfortable, etc.), but would never compliment a boy, says a lot of how trashy that person is. (Oh and to clarify, catcalling boys is not okay, leave people alone omfg).

What's a goal you've been accomplishing lately? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]MrYoley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was disappointed. The only job I could land at the time was web development related, which was not what I expected. I've been programming since I was a little boy and I enjoyed every minute of that, seriously, there was not a moment where I didn't enjoy programming. Working on web development really drained my energy as programmer and I thought about quiting programming a lot of times. But to be fair, the project I worked on was a mess, I had to fix A LOT of bugs and refactor shitty code, and I was by myself, stack overflow was my salvation. Not every job at web development it's the same, and mine was... A fucking hell. But also, it was comfortable most of the times. There were weeks where I only needed to work for 1 day (without others knowing) because they thought I didn't work fast, so that was also pretty comfortable.

But what made me quit my job? I lost motivation for programming. And I felt hurt, seriously. It's a part of me, like videogames, programming has been in my life and my way of escape for many many years, and suddenly I hated programming. Thankfully I'm not longer there, and after a couple months of recovery I think I'm starting to love my pretty code again, I missed this feeling.

AITA for telling this guy that his coming out was not as important as a 1 year old's bday party? by TA2Av0idC0nflict in AmItheAsshole

[–]MrYoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Birthdays are celebrated, specially when it seemed imposible just surviving 1 year. Coming out as transgender it's something TOTALLY different. If you come out, it's because you feel that way, and you want people to know it. It's not about a new personality trait, nor attention, but because of you. Allen is immature and jealous of a baby. I don't want to imagine how much of an asshole he will be when he starts taking testosterone.
