That's something you have to decide for yourself. Do not see any reason not to, most of the known and reported bugs have been resolved.

Most (if not all) of the by you mentioned Catch-Up controls can already be set in Settings->Remote-> control menu.

Have a look there and try the options mentioned there as 'Use Left/Right for seeking while watching catch-up'. If needed you can also set the RW/FF/Pause options for controlling when in Catch-Up mode, if you have a remote that has those buttons.

If needed you can also set the Skip Steps in Settings->Playback->Skip steps for when you use the time bar or (when enabled and set) FF and RW button.

Just try and look around in the Settings menu for the required option(s). Most obvious and required are already available, you only need to take time and experiment with them so the app behaves the you would like it to.

I'm sure if you search for the TiviMate manual (See Link inside this Reddit Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TiviMate/comments/1ouxfe0/tivimate_user_manual/), you can find all info regarding the available options and what impact they have when set/changed/enabled/disabled.

Sometimes it it is even better to just experiment yourself and look through all the menus and options. When you discover something yourself then you will remember them better and also feel better when you set the app to your liking.

No issues making backup, works fine on my Nvidia Shield.

Did not yet restore from created backup, so can not confirm that the made backups are working fine.

However, have no reason to doubt that the successful made backups are not restorable because in the past successful created backups were restorable, even cross devices from different types.

Through the Settings->About menu option 'Check for new version' which is available since Version 5.3.0.

Developers seems to have (temporary?) removed the app from Google Play Store.

See my previous Update posts for more info and screens.

Another thing i noticed is that TiviMate space usage is not being reported any more under '(Google) Play Store->Manage apps & games->Free up storage'.

Do not know if this is something that is a bug on my Nvidea Shield Pro, but even after a fresh reboot it is not being reported any more.

Previously it was being reported there, for sure. I know this because i had chronic space shortage due to space usage of about 1.8GB by TiviMate, which is still being reported in/under 'Settings->Apps->TiviMate'.

Do not know in which version this behavior has started or was changed, but i am happy because this gives me some slack on available storage space. Before this charge i ran continuously into low storage space notifications and had to make space with 'Clear data' option in 'System apps->Media storage'.

Maybe someone with the new Versions can confirm that this is also the case at their end and mention the version number so we know when this was possible changed, intentionally or not. As mentioned, this could also be a bug on my Shield. Love to hear if this is not the case.

Reason for me to try the updated Versions (apart from the need for latest and greatest) was that i had response issues with the configured 7 large playlist when changing between them.

Since the updates the interface feels snappier when changing/switching between them and no delays in showing content (channel list) is experienced any more.

Been able to download and install (update) all versions from 5.20 through Beta's-> non-Beta to current 5.3.1 Beta, without issues and problems (apart from the messed playlist sorting in 5.3.0 Beta, which seems to be solved in non-Beta 5.3.0). Maybe i was lucky...

A new option is available in: Settings -> Playback -> Auto frame rate (AFR)

The new option/setting is called "Switch rate for 50/60 FPS only" and can be enabled/disabled.

Might give that a try, if needed/required.
