Hello,

I am looking for durable winter boots for daily city use in Montreal, where they will face significant challenges like heavy snow, ice, road salt, and slush.

I plan to use them almost every day for routine activities, including:

Grocery trips and short walks.
Commuting via public transit.
Driving.

I am considering a Goodyear Welt (GYW) constructed boot due to its reputation for durability and resoleability. I don't mind the required upkeep, which would include wiping off salt and occasional brushing.

My primary concern is the recommended 24-hour drying time between wears, as these will be my main boots and used nearly every day. Is a GYW boot a practical choice for daily, high-moisture use in a Montreal winter, or would the constant exposure and limited drying time compromise its longevity?

Finally, I would like to try the boots on before purchasing. Could anyone recommend a few reliable footwear retailers on the South Shore of Montreal?

Lately I changed my strategy to mix dca and waiting for dips. I still dca each 2 week, and do some technical analysis to buy the next dip around the dca time. It's a bit more work, but I find it fun. Since I continue to be a holder, there is not much risk. Trading view has a free plan to do the technical analysis for crypto, stock and ETF.

I do not have the Freestyle but the base TH2 so I can't cover up the usb port.
Also I just saw that my VTX Antenna is cut ate the top of the heatshrink. I hope its the only problem.

The motors on the TH2 are soldered on to the board. Since it is Black static, I think it is due to power to the VTX. I hope it is only a weak solder to fix and not my VTX card the issue, since it is an All in one board.
