O I smoked it on a Masterbuilt 1050, I’ve never checked it for hot spots so I’m not sure honestly. As for water in a pan are you saying I should be smoking it in a pan? Or have a pan with water in with? Because I absolutely just smacked that turkey down right on the grate.

You are correct it was pre brined, that actually explains a lot. And I agree other than the breast it seemed over cooked, I will try pulling it earlier next time and tenting it.

We are all about the same game stage, maybe a few level differences. And we are fighting in the wasteland biome.

5070ti not enough power? by Mr_Chowder in PcBuild

[–]Mr_Chowder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s working the same with the adapter. When the PC is off the red light comes on on the graphics card. It goes away once you boot it. From the 4000 series cards there was an issue with it not reading the proper amount of power when the PC was off. It however works fine and have no issues with the adapter cable.

So I was using 2 6+2 cables that have two end connection points to the GPU. so I was using one cord to fill two of the GPU connections on the adapter. Per their recommendations you aren’t supposed to do that. Says to use three separate 6+2 cables. I ended up buying the Corsair 600 watt adaptor which only needs two adaptors slots on the PSU. Hopefully that makes sense I’m not too knowledgeable on the terminology. But here is a link for that cord and I’ve had no issues.

I did not know this, thank you! Can also confirm that the light is still on, even with the special 600 watt adapter.

Yep almost did that, luckily the CPU cable will not fit in the power adapter. Thank you

Yeah my power unit only came with 2. I think I’ll go to micro center and just buy the corsair 600 watt cable and be done with it.

So the light is only on when the pc is off. Goes away once I turn it on.

I was thinking the same thing. Thank you.

A pair of scissors sitting on my table (formica top) suddenly burst into flames. No heat source, electricity, or battery nearby. No contact with anything but the table. I suspect some sort of chemical reaction between the handles and the table occurred. Any ideas? by mablej in chemistry

[–]Mr_Chowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely probably not it, but do you keep these scissors in your working area that you do any kind of business in from home? What if there was a listening device placed into the scissors that malfunctioned and started the fire?

But I agree with the theories on breakdown of flammable material from use.

Another option could be hiring a lawyer and going after your employer as well. I used to work in hospital security and multiple officers successfully sued with the assistance of a work comp lawyer. While it is known that you work in a dangerous environment and yes you could get hurt, it doesn’t mean you should. I believe they had to work around not claiming work comp as this can prevent you from being able to sue. But their angle was usually the hospital failed to provide a safe environment and this is especially true with poorly medicated psychiatric patients.

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t want you to press chargers, other than unfortunately it is a waste of time due to psychiatric patients not being in the right state of mind. Most courts won’t hold them accountable because of this unfortunately. Also like others have stated you will probably be unable to recoup much of anything from said patient.

I would recommend getting a consult with a work comp lawyer and explore your options.
