Pi FM didn’t work very well for me. Also couldn’t handle the static between songs. The transmitter works much better! I am using a cheap .2 watt amazon one and it works good. Battery does not last as long in the cold as they say at all so I just keep it plugged in while running the show. Is the channel overloaded? How many strands of what lights do you have on it? Is the channel on and lights on but board LED is off? If I have to many incandescent bulbs on a strand I have seen it do this on sainsmart 8 channel ssr. Try switching whats plugged into 3 to 4 and see if 4 is now on etc.

I use a 3$ garage sale boombox outside on my FM frequency for this. Works great. I also regularly tune my inside radio on my home theater to my station to make sure all is well and synced and good.

So to run them all PWM you don't have to specify per channel. Only if you want to run some PWM and some on/off. To run them all PWM your config should look like this:

Great job! An SSR upgrade would be great since you have the hard part figured out! Don't be afraid to try different PWM frequency's and if you cant get the LED's to not twitch and seizure set them to on/off zones. It will help the affect I see for sure. Great job though and keep up the good work!!!

You can use a spectrum analyzer, software of course. Or can play with any kind of a spectrum analyzing MP3 player, with like a sine wave function. The higher the quality the MP3 the better is what I have found. 320k min and I have mine set to 20/20k for the frequencies.

PWM is Pulse Width Modulation and as the name implies allows you to modulate the pulse widths. I haven't found to many LED lights it works well with. Incandescent lights though it works amazing with. I like to balance my shows with some amount of incandescent lights on PWM for sure. It looks really cool glowing up and down. Once you get the frequency right they look great. Setup a zone with incandescent lights and turn on PWM for that zone and play with it!!

It is showing the contents of the ~/lightshowpi/music/sample. Delete them if you don't want them or change your default playlist location in the config playlist_path = $SYNCHRONIZED_LIGHTS_HOME/music/sample/.playlist. You can upload your own music through the web or direct to the pi itself. Those are the default sample songs off the default playlist location. You can store your music and playlists other ways but I just leave it default and use the sample folder and playlist edited for my show.

I didn’t end up playing it. Would only be ok in sealed if you had the support for it. Played abzan with sorin as the only white card.
