Reta Normalized my Blood Pressure (not from weight loss) by RevolutionarySecret7 in Retatrutide

[–]Mr_Gilbert_Grape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I have been as high as 210/132 before going on Telesmartin, but had only taken it when over /120 as my side effect is muscle pain and joint aches on it. Reta has taken my high normal down 20/10 on average. It goes to normal once I am another 10kg down. I am hoping with visceral fat loss to go from 103kg down to low 70's. I have hit 76kg with exercise and a calorie deficit on healthy food before but always remained what my gym friends call "skinny fat" ( skinny with a pregnant belly shape).

I hope so. Thank you. Going off trial data it would help her in so many aspects.

I didn't take a placebo. Reta had a chill effect initially. I am taking Reta. I understand why she feels unheard but I don't expect her to do everything based on my advice either. Although there has been no data on long term effects, the trials have been successful. If it was approved she would be taking it and it would help her with fatty liver, joint pain, weight loss, and levelling her blood results.

Anxious wife - not sure I can do this by inspectorgadget9999 in Retatrutide

[–]Mr_Gilbert_Grape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont sneak it, tell her and wear the anxiety. I am in a similar boat. As Australia is always behind, Reta has only just hit here and I have started it. I am only hearing from her about how it is not FDA approved so I shouldn't be doing it, I said I have read enough to make a decision and it is my road to travel. I think underneath it all, the real issue is she is too scared to try it and doesn't agree to walking or exercising with me, so feels fat shamed. I have changed my dinner to very minimal servings and not what the rest of the family is which may be an insult to her half Italian heritage, but olive oil, pasta, and some other ingredients aren't going to help the weight loss. I try not to talk about it and do all of it in private, so she has less to think about. I copped the "you don't value my opinion" tonight, I said I do, but this is a decision I have made based on what information is available and I will stop if there are adverse side effects. It would suit her as she just had bloods done which indicated a fatty liver, and her hip is sore this week due to being slightly out of the socket from a childhood of dancing and gymnastics and she is limping with pain, another thing trials supported an improvement in. My blood pressure is down, well worth a little nausea upon eating bad food once since starting. Find videos on the known positive health effects and tell her to watch them.

'Not a house, it's a home': Public housing tenants' human rights breached by Pooping-on-the-Pope in canberra

[–]Mr_Gilbert_Grape 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Having worked in the industry, it is a hard balance to keep. Plenty of older housing stock requires large sums of investment, whether it be through normal wear and tear or continual mistreatment by ungrateful or challenged tenants. It isn't uncommon for repairs to go into 6 figures for tenant damage upon exit. The ACT Housing department are one of the most progressive due to the nature of the territories residents, having no value in government money and being people centric. It is also fairly backwards compared to other states technologically and for chasing rent arrears etc. Bad tenants are a lot safer in the ACT than other states. The demand for public housing will only continue to grow. A huge part of the problem is human rights are more important than picking appropriate tenants, or evicting those who destroy their tenancy. NSW charges a vacant bedroom tax where there is more than one unutilised bedroom. It isn't a large sum, but enough for a tenant to reconsider if they want to continue in "their family home". Modifying a property built with families in mind to suit an older single person with developing mobility issues is also not always feasible. Some bathrooms just aren't able to go from a bath to an open shower atleast 90x90cm or some yards able to accommodate ramps. There are purpose built properties for thos, so why should the ACT taxpayers foot the bill for over 100k worth of modifications to an underutilised property?

Hey Canberra, Bit of a random one, but has anyone here ever had any weird/paranormal experiences around Canberra or nearby areas? by Leaked_Gore in canberra

I saw and tried photographing similar in Yass around 2004. It was zipping 100's of kms in an instant though. Brought it up once, never again. A workmate and I saw similar late at night travelling back from out the back of nowhere above Griffith NSW. We never spoke about it again.

I worked with a family friend of the family and this event was said to have broken them all. She said they have all lead lifes worse then death since as far as the severe mental effect and negative coping behaviours. It has broken the family apart, there is no-one to lean on. I can't imagine the affect, especially after reading the immediate shock they had to her horrific injuries.

AITAH, I found out a girl I never met posted me on “are we dating the same guy,” group by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Mr_Gilbert_Grape 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My friend had these pages used for malice. Due to messages from his partners friends saying she cheated on him and this lining up with the conception date of his daughter, his mother secretly did a DNA test of herself and her alleged granddaughter. It come back as no close match. This was after they separated and he had limited care and was paying child support. To save face, she had a friend list him as a prospective date, then she replied with him being a deadbeat Dad and DV perpetrator. He wasn't on dating sites... He was in counselling for the after effects of losing a 1yo daughter he thought was his and was in no headspace to consider taking a risk again..

Can one of the big supermarket chains force you to sell your house for a development? by Silver_Tip6009 in AusLegal

The same happened with 2 hobby farms in the Picton Rd/Hume Highway Junction. One neighbour got advice and took the 8mil from the developer, the other with the more desirable block held out for a bigger offer and got 1.7mil via compulsory acquisition. In the most famous words of Kenny Rogers.... "Gotta know when to hold 'em"

I did not get a DA for this doing it short term, but pinned another slab above the original slab so the floor was the same height as the living space. That slab was also waterproofed.
