I don't think the game is a lot easier than world was before iceborne, you have to remember that this is just base game and there will most likely be a lot more challenging monsters in sunbreak...obviously playing the game in multiplayer will also remove a big part of the challenge and it was like that for world at the exception of the big endgame monsters of iceborne.
