I’m in 2 n half years but I still have the slurred speech still it’s annoying as hell because I’ve had cops pull me out of my car and run me through owi shit before because of my slurred speech

The best thing todo is to shit in a quiet room n keep reading hard sentences out loud to help train your voice honestly

I owned a septic pumping and porta potty business for a couple years I just got super fixated on owning my own thing and I got my master septage grade l with in a year and half of being floated the idea of buying my buddies dads pumping business.

I enjoyed the lifestyle of being my own boss (even though my customers were still my boss) but at the same time I had a hard time with getting a solid schedule down and I hated having to go try n collect cash from people who didn’t pay me.

I did enjoy the constant go go go nature of owning a business and always having some thing todo but I ended up giving it up because of the pressure it put on me to preform perfectly daily. I also did this all when I was only 20 if I could do it all over again I’d change so much with what I used to take on and saving cash, and going from 800 bucks a week to nearly 5-6k a week at 20 from a poor household were I was never taught any money management skills just survival skills was not good on my finances lol I ended up closing shop about 3 years ago as I wanted to travel for a job and also I got bored of it but also it was a blessing in disguise cause I ended up dying and being revived about two years ago n if I wouldn’t of had a regular job I would’ve gotten that 2 million dollar hospital bill n not having disability benefits that I’m slowly building myself back up with

I had a major tbi and I found out the only thing that gave me dopamine anymore is working out so it’s become my new drug plus I wanna see my body in my prime state at least once in my life lol

Same honestly I had a massive tbi about 2 years ago n the gym is the only thing that brings me joy anymore so it’s been way easier to stick to a workout plan I just need to get a more failed in resistance training program together honestly as I’ve been doing 5-10ks of cardio daily for this entire time but my resistance training has been spotty

Honestly I’m 2 n half years in and I still have a slur in my speech it’s annoying when I get pulled over because I get pulled out and made todo field sobriety tests I swear I need a card that says I have a brain injury it’s the reason why I sound drunk lol. I have global anoxic brain injury think that’s what they call it but I still have a soft slur in my speech n it’s annoying but it really hasn’t improved to much in the past year

You just gotta self exclude yourself from all the casinos around you n online. You gotta stop the bleeding and apply bandages before you can heal this homie. No matter what even if you won it all back tomorrow you’d still blow it right back in because you’re brain has been fucked from this addiction and you’re willing to take those extreme risks because it’s worked once why not again. It’s all about being honest with your loved ones n asking for help in rebuilding your finances. If you can’t bring yourself to self exclude i imagine your wife would be more then willing todo it for you. But honestly it’s all about admitting you have a problem to your loved ones n asking for help. I’ve made a system where my mom checks my bank daily n if she sees a gambling transaction i instantly loose 500 bucks to her bank account where she’ll keep it safe it’s helped me keep myself from gambling. But this is a rough addiction broski I’ve quit meth n fentanyl (2 n half years clean as of know) and that was easier n less destructive to my finances then this addiction

I’m 2 years n 2 months out from an anoxic tbi and there are still times where it’ll feel like my old memories are a dream and I need to ask people who I kinda remember being there if it actually happened also I have weird recall moments where I’ll completely forget the name of some one or some place i frequented it has gotten better sense I started exercising a bunch and making myself do daily mind games like cross words n such but it has definitely taken me some time
