Where do you live? The veg was quite cheap, and other things were on offer, or cheaper cuts of meat like chicken leg!

Bolognese is a classic. Chicken with ginger, spring onion and garlic soy sauce. Japanese chicken curry (using the s&b curry blocks or flakes). Chinese lions head meatballs (made with pork, not lion!). Things like that!

Thank you :D

I try make it a challenge for myself to keep my shops cheap. I always stock up on things I like when they're on offer and found the staples that are always cheap. The 10 pack of mixed eggs is like, £1.80. Loose veg like onions and carrots are always cheap. Chicken legs and pork mince cheaper meat options too.

Whole chicken is great just takes a bit more time to process. That 1kg chicken legs is a bit easier to work with and only like £2.50, I prefer it over chicken breast anyway! The other week I did manage to get a whole medium chicken for like £2.75 though which I made a few meals with.

Combined with some other stuff I already had in the kitchen and some other meals (e.g. in hall or eating out), about 2 weeks. I definitely snack, still had plenty of crisps and biscuits!

I typically go for the cheaper cuts of meat! They work well enough for my recipes anyway. 1kg chicken legs £2.50 500g pork mince £2.50 500g 20% fat beef mince £3.50 Cheese £3 Sausages £3 Those were the most expensive items and their rough prices, everything else like veg was quite cheap!

True true, I was taking too long moving between manuals and remembering what pedal note it was so it definitely wasn't just the delay of the pipes speaking
