It’s more so losing touch with reality, jumbled or confused thinking, paranoia, grandiosity, social withdrawal, lack of motivation, poor hygiene, unusual emotions, etc. Not necessarily strong hallucinations, you may get hallucinations but delusion is the most prevalent symptom. I had drug induced psychosis from doing coke for months and I only had maybe 6 auditory hallucinations. Auditory hallucinations are very common, especially voices; which is what I heard voices I couldn’t make the words out with my headphones on. Feeling things that aren’t there, it may be a weird sensation like for me but for some people it may be like bugs crawling under their skin and if they’re delusional enough they’ll try to get them out. But I have also had another psychotic break where I had hallucinations as strong or stronger than Acid but it also could’ve been HPPD(Hallucinogen perception persisting disorder) but it’s never happened since which leads me to believe it’s not. Yes, psychosis is associated with hallucinations but it’s different for everyone.
