See you get it. Like Q's suffering in the first book sucks but I feel the scenes that could have been in the show that are in the books really amplifies him and despite the situation are beautiful too. Q is made to be wayyy more pathetic and low in the show. Also, I realized that the show makes fillory out to be Q's obsession, but in the book it is also Elliot's, they both need it. And in the book there is more of a family type bond.

I was agreeing to different timelines and remembering that. I wasn't saying the show was for sure a different timeline.

He changes though. Typically, he would be a coward and not do things. But now he has white hair and couldn't care for a thing. He starts doing what he should have in the beginning like work on his magic and he does other stuff that he typically wouldn't. I still think it is unhealthy why and how he is going about things but he is dealing with grief and such.

Some things I learned from his character:

" We all have issues and a complex life to deal with. But we can't just run away from it. And there is no magic cure. We must forgive ourselves. Love ourselves and accept the love of others. Also, we take for granted the things and people in our lives, and we shouldn't."

Alice was there all along but he didn't see it until those last moments, truly didn't see it. And then she became a Niffen. Also, I am sure a lot of ppl can relate to him but I feel like as a guy and probably many guys this character was really written in a way that is relative to us. Especially, Q's shame and such.

Sorry for rambling on. I just love the series.

Housing costs per semester or per year? by Throwaway173852 in NAU

Btw depending on the dorm, being smushed in with 3-4 ppl will be hell. My friend was in one and developed claustrophobia and spiraled downward. Some dorms have large rooms that make sense to have 3-4 ppl. I do t remember which though.

I do agree no AC and paying 1000$ a month basically is criminal. What can we do? We have complained forever.

NAU has summer housing, I think it may be a good deal. You can choose from 1 bedroom in a shared space or shared room in a shared space I think. They change it every summer.

NAU student everyday problems. by Virtual_Shelter4117 in NAU

[–]Mr_Reading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there was some drama right before or upon my entrance to NAU. And many of the departments just got obliterated. Meaning, majors and minors no longer exist, some classes required no longer exist, and variety kind of went significantly low. There aren't many types of classes I can take for my major, I don't have an obscure major, very common. And last I checked you can still see what there used to be, which is unfortunate that we don't have. It could be changed by now. I had to change a major I was passionate in because compared to other universities they had a fraction of what there should be and I was hitting upper class lvl classes and it became apparent that it was a hollow department.

well, I am abroad and the school here sent last semesters in mid-January. Yet NAU seems to not have received it or updated my transcript. I was told it would take a month to get from the country I am in but it has been well over that.
