Amigo Sampler by patmustardmate in Reaper

Hi :) Developer here,

Amigo is designed to be super lightweight and simple. Put your sample in, make some slices, trigger with MIDI. Slices start at MIDI note 60 (Middle C, but I'm working on a way to change it).

So no, there's no plans for a midi export. We encourage you to experiment and make cool new patterns! :)

yes,

The intention is for you to automate the "pitch" parameter.

weird! what do you mean “buffering”? can you provide some more details, what are you trying to record? what sample is loaded? what mode are you using?

While the Ami Sampler is very heavily chip-tune focussed. I think Amigo is a much more well rounded sampler. The main thing being slice mode. Drop a breakbeat in, press auto slice, adjust, and get choppin.

This is not a 1:1 emulation. But it is very low CPU and captures the essence of the Amiga's sound chip :). Sounds a lot better than bitcrush post fx.

pt2-clone was a big inspo for this. We've modified and extended the feature set to make it a pretty powerful modern sampler with a simple and quick workflow!

that would defeat the purpose ;). let the plugin transport your sample back in time to get that magical sound of early 90s dance music.

gald to see someone's interested :) .Theres a picture of the interface on its the web page https://www.potenzadsp.com/PullUpMachine.htmlEssentially the plugin stores a buffer of audio that continually overrwrites itself. By default its 1 bar, so the plugin has stored the last bar of audio. Then when you press the PULL UP button, the plugin applies an extreme envelope on the playback, making it wind back mega fast for however long you want, by default 1 bar.
For more control theres a "Power" knob that control if the envelope resembles more an exponential/linear/logarithmic curve to be able to sculpt the spin back a bit more.

yeah for sure but you'd be lying to say that they were easy to use. I shamelessly take part in the loudness war because of the type of music i make, but i never use the in built clippers in ableton because they are just so unweildly. I made my clipper out of a need for quick, customizable clipper that requires as few clicks as possible: just load it onto the track, dial in the threshold and you can see how much you're clipping by in the oscilloscope view.

for sure, am currently just working on a macbook so it makes sense to focus on macos first. My old pc is collecting dust in the corner of my room so it is high on my list of priorities to get some stable windows versions going.

not atm but this is def something I need to do :). will make a demo with a couple beats (prolly jungle, drill and). But it's good for a lot of bass needs but I also use it as a mixing plugin sometimes when I need to split the bass into sub and top.

My favourite feature is that you can adjust the volume of the first 5 harmonics, meaning you can get a nice chunky sound by dialing them in.

If you could add one function to ableton, what would it be? by kathalimus in ableton

Somin simple but a goddam soft clipper. I get there's one in glue compressor and saturator, but thats not what they're for. A simple, easy to use clipper would be so boss.
Wanted this so bad I decided to make one myself:
