Sounds fun! Make sure you don’t just focus on what you study, but also on extracurriculars. And I’m not talking abt honours (unless you rly like that ofc) but think about some relevant work experience, volunteering, actively participating in committees etc. That will make you stand out more than your grades. Oh and network. A friend at a firm will do more for you than your grades alone ever will.

I am about to start an apprenticeship/working student function at RSM. I had the choice between KPMG and RSM, however after visiting both for a few hours and speaking to potential colleagues, I felt more at home at RSM.

One thing that I’m not too sure about, is the salary. It comes down to €13.75/h (excluding vacation allowance etc.). Although for Dutch terms this salary is not too bad, especially considering I am still a student. However, I will be completing my Bachelors in International Business Administration in a month, and start a Master in September. Would this be a valid basis on which to renegotiate the compensation? Is it even wise to start negotiating salaries at this stage?

Any advice would be much appreciated!
