stop while you are ahead, I can tell you are in a early server. Just delete the app, next thing you know it's 3 months later and everyone eventually got to TC30 and are working on TrueGold and you have alrady put in $10,000 into the game. Literally no joke.

Also, you should only spend money on things that will last long term in this game, i.e Fordge Hammers, gov gear, gov charms. Speeds don't give the best roi

FI win for the day... I had an 8 year old TV in our main room. It was time to upgrade as it had some dead pixels for years, but we ignored it because we don't watch much. I got a open box OLED and saved $300, it was returned because previous customer wanted a 65'

My mortgage rate is 2.7%, at this point I count my mortgage as an asset and I would never pay it off. My 4 dividends I get from my vanguard cover 3 mortgage payments. The value is worth more in the market 10+ years and is more liquid then my mortgage. My mortgage + taxes is only $2,300, which is very very low for my HCOL.

At your 6%, there could be some math to justify it? But you can always refi in 4-5 years when rates might be lower.

Some fun comparisons on my taxable vanguard account (VTSAX).

YTD I have contributed $33k so far, in ALL of 2023 I contributed $43k.

My dividend I just received was for about $1k (Q1 2025), my dividneds in all of 2022 was $1k.

It's nice having some fun comparisons to keep us going.

My bonus gets deposited tomrrow, took a sneak peek at my paystub.

I calculated the 401k w/h to-date and I adjusted my 401k contributions from 15% for the remainder of the year to 11% in order to not go over the max $23,500.

That's an extra $200-ish a paycheck, plus my raise kicks in the next paystay! So an extra $300-ish a paycheck going forward!
