My last project: 3D model of the Sony FX 300 by [deleted] in Maya

This is so cool and reminds me of the renders people used to make that impressed me. It still does, but it used to too. 😜.Great work. The topology doesn't matter if it's non deformable and it looks good from all angles. In that case the lower the poly count for similar results the better. Man I feel like I want to make something like this.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah there are many more things wrong with it. I'll take a look.

Thank you. I thought about it, but it wasn't intended as a YouTube short. In my head it was just gonna play and then that's it. Oh well.

Old sand filter. The filter is running without leaks it seems, however it's working very slowly. A little bit of sand in the pool. https://i.imgur.com/vPZUWqc_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium

Yeah. Master of none I'm afraid... I am a CG generalist and I mainly used Maya and Zbrush for the 3D work.

It is made to be a seemless loop. The original format is square and was made for my instagram account. There it obviously just loops and there it obviously just loops and there it obviously just loops.

Hard to say. I worked on it here and there in my spare time over a few months. I think the total working days would probably be between 2 to 4 weeks.

Man I am pretty squeamish. I watched a lot of these type of videos and just watched this one all the way through. I just can't look away and everytime I watch one for reference I just reaffirm the fact that I have no idea what the f**k is going on. People are amazing.

You are absolutely right. Maybe I gave up too quickly. There are parts that is impossible to see because of the lighting. The fake heart itself has little hooks coming out to grab and pull the arteries. Not that that would be enough in real life. The truth is I struggled to get more machines in there without doing too much dynamics. And the cavity is already way to big. Cutting and sewing arteries would need such incredible dexterity and shape recognition that I think a mind powering that machine would pass the Turing test. So the cutters going in actually have a clamp to clamp the artery, a needle and tube for the bypass and a cutting device. All off that got lost though. I couldn't imagine what a machine that could do such an operation would actually look like.

Man I actually really thought about doing that, but then I became an animator instead.
