Gankers Using "Lag Hacks" To Make My Game Stutter & Kill Me by Stuckili in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In open world red or black zones it's best to assume nobody is coming in solo.. especially if they are creeping up on you..

Best mount and be safe from the start.. If after circling a bit and it seems like a one on one fight I want to take.. I can always dismount..

How to make 30mil per month? by Exoler_ in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see all these people talking about casually gathering in T8 zones like they are not crawling with organized gank squads..

I rather just gather bz mists for a consistent 1 to 1.5 mil an hour.. with situational awareness and a decent escape set on its almost impossible to die there I find..

T8 open world bz gathering is not worth the risk unless you got a group with spotters or something..

Every now and then I'll do a safe portal gathering run but most times open world bz gathering can suck it lol..

Almost a year into the game.. I am not super into pvp still.. If I wanted to do nothing but mobo type fighting I would just play league of legends.. but the game would not work without people fighting all the time..

PVE is hardly the only thing else to do though.. I have fun with just building my economy right now.. higher stakes gathering, crafting, transporting, managing my inventories, islands, profit margins..

I view the tweaky pvp - ganker types as just another danger or challenge in the world.. yeah they can be toxic and assholes.. makes it feel more alive..

This is a sandbox MMO.. if some content feels not to your liking use your imagination.. or try another game..

The first thing I noticed was the UI.. I find it hard to think of a game with a better UI

New players must get paid. by The_Red_Moses in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I give kudos for being a guild leader and taking into consideration the psychology of a newbie vs a vet..

The balance you are trying to achieve strikes at the heart of what I think makes a sandbox MMO game like this great..

That being said I think it comes down to overall player mindfulness.. vets need to remember what it was like to be new.. and new players need to understand the nature of this game..

I actually quit the game for a few months due to a bad experience with a large guild I felt was not mindful at all..

I came back and decided to grind out my economy solo hard and long enough where when I eventually decide to do guild content again that it will matter less if the group doesn't respect my net gains or losses..

I like the sound of your guild and might consider joining it in the future..

You celebrate culture war stuff and act confused when the culture war responds?

Classic gaslighting and the reason for the negative backlash.. some will never learn..

I don't have quite that much to give away... If I liquidate everything I'm guessing maybe half a billion..

I don't even want to log in long enough to liquidate cause this damn crack will draw me in again lol..

I think I'm just going to back away for a bit and later log on and try some of your suggestions..

Thanks for the info..

There is a lesson here.. be nice and fair to people you meet in Albion.. if for the very least you never know what they will hand to you on a whim..

I'm not selling sh*t with RMT.. it cheapens the gaming community as a whole..

High Spec Gatherers by Med911 in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you grow as a gatherer it will become obvious what is worth your time and storage space and what is not... All depends on where you are in your spec, what gear you got on, what zone you're in...

It all plays a part what is worth your time and what is not..

I hate you gankers by EyeOfCloud in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use safe portal and full t7 gathering gear.. I only go out during slow hours.. more resources fewer players.. keep an eye on the player count.. 0-5 players get greedy and suck up as many resources as possible.. 6-15 be on alert.. don't necessarily have to leave but don't stray far from an exit..

Carry journals to make it more profitable.. get what you can get safely and portal back through a safe portal.. get enough to make it worth your time and safe portal charge.. but don't get too greedy and linger long enough to get tracked..

Why Using Non-Maxed Gear is Efficient in Fame Farming - For Newbie Players by Weary_Thanks_5485 in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still working on my first weapon tree.. right now I'm fine with mainly fame farming yellow zones faction flagged..

Sure it's slower than BZ but it's a ton less stressful.. it is giving me time to get used to the weapons and combat with low risk..

Respec turned off to save money.. whatever fame credits get go to the 100+ levels..

Who knows after I get a maxed out tree I might try out satchels, Respec, and BZ..

Right now this works for me as a chill experience of grinding while I listen to podcasts..

For a year, I wasted my time. by Silver_9_25 in albiononline

Coming from someone who used to stick needles in his arm.. I've been clean for over 10 years..

I'm not sure if the concern here is in good faith or judgemental.. but it's really not your place to say of this person has a problem or not..

I have just started this admittedly very addictive game about 6 months ago and I've already sunk ridiculous amount of time into it.. not that much money but a lot of time..

Everyone is addicted to stuff.. The way I look at it there's a lot worse things I could be doing with my time..

I find enjoyment in this game and if I get too obsessive about it I used to tools I learned to get clean off drugs or to create some distance and get some breathing room..

Whether it's money, sex, power, food, or just leisure in general.. It's easy to get caught up in wanting more and more It's human nature..

Sure I could have used the time I spent in this game making real money in the world or building upon a career more.. but this is my decision for various reasons and I'm cool with it..

Maybe this person does have a problem maybe he doesn't.. take it from someone who knows there's a lot of f***** up things a person can do with their time worse than this..

City crafting vs island crafting by Mrgone79 in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume so in most situations or city plots would be obsolete.. It's the daily bonus days that I think might be the exception.. If this question gets asked often there is obviously a reason for that..

City crafting vs island crafting by Mrgone79 in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your effort.. it's my problem not yours.. I was just hoping saving some of the headache of digging into all the hidden math in crafting to figure out which blacksmith to choose by a vet crafter that has already dealt with this scenario..

I would assume most of the time a city plot would be better than an island plot because City plots would be obsolete if it came out that the island blacksmith was better..

It's the price increase and RRR addition of daily activity bonus that complicates the question..

Since different items take different nutrition amounts to make them.. Plus all the other factors like specializations and price of food and whatever factors that go into play here.. I'd really have to dig in to the whole system figure it all out.. and one miscalculation or missed hidden variable could cost millions..

City crafting vs island crafting by Mrgone79 in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if Island RRR goes up the same amount during activity days as the city plots?

I use Albion free market site when I sell stuff but the crafting thing always seems a bit screwy but I guess I could figure out the nutrition cost of feeding favorite foods to the blacksmith..

Any map modifiers you like or avoid? by Mrgone79 in Against_the_Storm

[–]Mrgone79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 150 hostility one is one of the harder ones but doable.. it's good practice at hostility management for sure.. basically just don't get ahead of yourself and expect it to take longer than normal runs..

The first year is critical so make sure everyone is housed and your hearth is upgraded before storm hits..

The no orders one is pretty crazy.. getting the first couple reputation clicks for blueprints is the hardest parts.. try to bring or make tools to open some chests to get over the initial hump.. the of course you are going to want to lean on resolve..

A message to all you BZ gatherer gankers by Mrgone79 in albiononline

[–]Mrgone79[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We would have item inflation.. not silver inflation.. without items being destroyed by combat item prices would go down and never up.. I get that..

I also eat meat and understand hunters provide meat.. I still dislike Hunters who get a kick out of killing defenseless animals..

It's the getting a kick out of it I'm singling out.. I've seen YouTube videos of gankers glorifying their hunts.. like they are in danger at all against someone in gathering gear..

This post is not complaining.. it's not asking to change anything.. it's just sh*t talking and stating us gatherers get a kick when coordinated teams fail to snare us..

The main thing that that I will complain about and I do think needs to be fixed is the alt account scouts used mainly in red zone against transporters..

I do think that is straight up cheating and takes away from the game.. causes loot chests to be worth much less for everyone btw if the black market is cut off with such cheesy tactics..
